[Oleg] joined the Saints after being rescued by them and helped destroy the Syndicate. He appeared in Saints Row the Third, Saints Row IV, and Saints Row Gat out of Hell. If you include Agents of Mayhem then he's in four Saints games.
My previous post corrected with apologies. I always remembered him as being a "call-on" but not an official gang member.

His cameo in SR4 doesn't count imo, but technically you are right. (And I never played GOOH because Gat is such a boring, one-note character.)

No worries.. You've always been level headed in your replies to me. I never played GooH either. I enjoy Johnny for what he is.

If you liked SR4 and wanted more, I'd suggest playing Gat out of Hell. It's not really about him and you can play as the hacker girl for 99% of it if you want to. It's interesting because they mix up high-brow and low-brow humor. And the ending of it gives some real closure to the whole arc of the series.

Installing. Somebody gifted it to me at one point and I never bothered to play it. I like Kinzie :)

Played SR2 a long time ago and I remember it being pretty good and serious story wise but the cars drove like shit and it wasn't anything special. SR3 and 4 on the other hand I enjoyed very much precisely because it was dumb mindless fun. It didn't give a shit and it was loud and proud about it. I also liked the universal garage system especially the one in SR4 where you could just save a vehicle by pressing a button and spawn it wherever you want. Unlike the shitty garage system from GTA where you get a car, mod it and then put it nicely in one of your garages and never use it again because once you lose it or destroy it it's gone. But I digress. Also the fact that the law enforcement when it came after you with tanks and helicopters it actually fired those guns on you unlike GTA where the military drive a tank next to you and get out of it to shoot you. And the customization, the guns, the gangs etc. SR did a lot of things better than GTA.

I want to remind people that Voliton's community manager stepped down May 10th of this year. Whoever is sending out those sassy anti-consumer tweets is a new hire or a fill in. I'm sure that will have interesting consequences down the road...

He died of cancer. I posted that a few pages back.

Yeah, but he stepped down from CM duties to focus on fixing SR2 back in May. Whoever is doing this was a hasty replacement.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to make the Saints a group of 20-something ugly nerd hipster doofus should be fired...from a cannon, into a large brick wall. Those characters just look fucking dumb. They seem like extreme parody versions of characters from Watch Dogs 2, but even the Watch Dogs 2 characters look tougher than these guys and they were designed to be a group of hipster nerd hackers. Black guy looks like fucking hipster Steve Urkel.

hey, hey, don't be dissin my man Brother Mouzone now, he's proof you can have an intimidating Steve Urkel lookin motherfucker

That said my soul died a little more when the reboot trailer dropped. I knew I was going to be disappointed by whatever Volition put out considering SR3 and 4 were both disappointing compared to SR2 but I wasn't prepared for the depths of decline to which they've stooped. I can only hope the actual game plays like the Christ came down to Earth and designed it himself because that's the only way this shitshow is going to be redeemed...but we all know that ain't gonna happen. You know something's wrong when someone's more excited for the patched version of a game you put out like 12 years ago that your company only assigned two guys to work on (RIP Idolninja) than they are for your new reboot.

Got reminded by this thread that I want to play SR4 again and wasted the whole day on it.

Kinzie is a great character. Half the time she's the only one who knows wtf is going on and is not afraid to take up the leadership and berate the player, but when someone else has more expertise in a situation she defers to them. She doesn't dress like a thot or a hipster, she wears clothes that absolutely make sense for her character and the circumstances she's in. She's a nerd, but she's got a lot more personality beyond just that. In sum, she's like an actual real life woman.

I'd still be buying new games now if they still had characters like her in them.

Kinzie is far better in 4 than 3, though that may have been due, in large part, to SR3's poor decisions to have half a dozen or so variants of escort mission as mandatory activities and make Kinzie central to many of them.

Why are you people even surprised about the reboot? Agents of Whatever was a sign of things to come.

That's why you use the Gentlemen of the Row mod.

Gentlemen made the driving controls go from barely working to tolerable but still not good enough. SR2 with SR3 car handling and gunplay? Now that would've been fantastic.

Something I found funny about this new trailer they released today is they show some concept art for the game, and the characters, while still the same characters, look way fucking better than what's in the game. Black guy isn't some skinny little thin necked looking twerp. The girl in the glasses (they're sunglasses in the concept art) is actually cool and attractive looking in the concept art. Shirtless guy who wants to cook seems to be the most unchanllenge, although he's more buff looking in the concept art. Everyone also seems to have been made less attractive than their concept art versions. There's some production art around the end at the 5:37 mark that shows them all together in a car and it is not the versions of the characters we're seeing in the game footage.

The group also has more of a uniform look in the concept art. There's a lot of other colors on these characters not related to the Saints in the game, looking at the Boss and Black Nerd Guy you'd think the teams color is green, Driver Girl is wearing mostly red and yellow. In the concept art if there's color on their clothing it's purple, like Driver Girl has Saints purple sunglasses. And maybe they're doing some thing where they're wearing green because they're green since they're just starting out, but Driver Girl fucks that up because she's red and yellow.
Wow, thanks for posting this. I wasn't excited about watching 7 minutes of self-congratulation so I skipped this preview but this is important information.

Here are the concept art designs ALG is talking about:

These characters are GORGEOUS in comparison to what we see in the actual trailers. They have a sense of humor but, critically, take themselves seriously. They seem like grownups. I particularly like the original Eli, a disdainful guy who wears a tux because he's classy, not as a joke. The in-game characters seem like clowns and Muppets by comparison.

Somewhere between the concept stage and in-game modeling, some executive said "Gotta be even younger, zanier, friendlier!"

:decline:

They don't look good, but unquestionably, significantly better.

kinzie is the best example of how bad a decline sr3 already was. if this cunt was this uppity to the sr2 boss he would have stuffed her into her pc case and thrown it into a trash compactor.

I like kenzie but saints row 4 Kenzie. She is autistic, kinda obnoxious but there is no malign agenda pushing with her.

On Saints Row 4, if you porsue a "romance" with Kenzie, the boss just say "Hey Kenzie, wanna fuck?"

She says "Sure." And Just jumps over you.

I was, bitch you just won my heart. Imagine if women were actually that straightforward.

Based on what the cucks on interviews said they will probably make her some obnoxious bitch that looks constipated all the time like it is the standard with the stunning and brave empowered woman nonsense on pretty much on any piece of garbage Disney produces.

Now that you mentioned it, I think I get what's going on. Agents of Whatever (I can't remember wtf it was called either) was a flop. They want to make a sequel to that, but they figure they'll call it Saint's Row so that it's not associated with failure.

I never played a Saints Row game, because they always looked like declined nigger shit, but apparently even this can be raped? Lel. Watch half of the Codex buying it anyway.

Pierce makes many jabs at the Boss in SR2 and complained plenty, and even Shaundi had her share of mocking the Boss.
