What about those abilities that give skill and ability points? Will they be retroactive from lvl 1 or from lvl 15, or not at all? At this point its not at all.

Hey! Still looking into it. None seem like bugs, basically these are changes made by the QA guys based on their meeting when they discussed the final balancing for the release version. I dabble in this stuff and mostly created the original balance where these were retroactive starting with 15 in all cases, but seems like the guys who's job it is to balance the game decided otherwise in the very last iterations of the game. This is now an active discussion between us, with one side justifying retroactivity and the other side telling that it made characters OP when transferred at lvl 20 and more. If you don't mind telling, what's your level and your feedback? How do you feel about this stuff not being retro?

Nah, I wanted to keep Bombagun a NCCG - NOT collectable card game! The only difference between Grandmasters and normal players is AI skill and RNG.
It should be tied to Gambling skill then somehow. Like % to draw unique card or something. Or even some AI adjustments.
Okay now we have TWO players who think we were up to something shady when calling the pack items cosmetic. In case you're okay with sharing your opinion on this. how would you feel if we changed the descriptions to the following?
I would have just cut that phrase about "do not affect the player’s experience" and the "cosmetic" word as well or would have changed it to "mostly cosmetic". Or better yet, advertise the bonuses even more => more sales.

Is shouldn't be retro. My pal have imported 88 lvl char and playing on survival, imagine his amount of bonus points.

Level 23. Well tbh i prefer specialising so am kinda sad that its not retroactive BUT, you could, as a compromise, make the char start at lvl 1 in Trudograd BUT with enough experience to advance to lvl 15 (or 23 in my case). That way we can choose our own abilities as we level since we get a new abilities wheel and everything

Just out of curiosity, if I import my character, does he retain his attributes even with the serum boosts, skills and distinctions? What about equipment?
Yes, you retain all the bonus stats, skills and traits, +dr included - that's the crazy part. You can also reallocate them all due to significant system changes. No equipment though.

As always, the main quest here is an excuse to send you on your adventure and get all the cool side quests and play a lot of Bombagun. Still, the feelings you get starting TG are enhanced if you did play ATOM, so there's that.!

Main quest is cool in Atom. I still remember, about Star falling to earth.
Chigir.

Plot was uber cool.

This will be fixed?
No no it is like that NOW! Not retro atm. Was retro on testing stages. 88 lvl transfer is a very nice argument for why it should stay that way. We'll talk it out with the crew, but I more and more believe it should stay NOT retro after doing some maths. I never tested the game with anyone higher than level 20 myself, since I'm not QA and just help them out when I have a minute.

But is it a star... And is it falling???
Yes and yes.
OR!?!?!??!!
Woooooo!!!! God I love plot discussions
Then just more unique assets and stuff?
Yes, we upgraded the graphics really significantly. Might not look like it, but poly count is twice higher in some areas, there's a lot of new geometry, shaders, higher res textures. Only a few 3d assets went COMPLETELY unchanged from Atom to TG and one of them is the giant ant model, and I think one rat and maybe some barrels. Even the protag despite (at least to me) looking exactly how it did before, has more bones in the skeleton and more triangles in his hot bod.

We're still planning a large talk on these changes, but sadly I think the guys were right in nerfing it. You provided a good idea for respec to 15 + experience to get to the level you have, I will present this idea as well.

EDIT: oooh but what about it's retro but for every FIVE levels you have?

When do I get to bang the hot turnip chick?
I SWEAR I argued the case of adding sex options to hook hand turnip woman and baby turnip woman, but I got blueballed. Too much like the first game, they said. But there's a very special prostitute in the docks though.

20 rubles as maximum bet, are you serious? Make it 200, idk. If some autist tell it'll break the economy tell them about existense of cheat engine.

Also, random encounters were cut immensely, I hadn't have any and I walked around a few game's days by now. Not sure how I feel about this: on one hand with a clean slate char it keeps me on toe since REs might give quite a lot of free xp/junk but on the other one I miss accessible random traders very much.

I remember playing the original ATOM when it released and completing like 80% of it before a bug locked my progress or something like that.

Long story short & punctually speaking, what has changed from a gameplay/writing perspective?

Besides, I only vaguely remember some quests, the communist hobo companion, every single NPC having unnecessarily long monologues full of Russian memes & references and the portraits being photoshopped celebrities and that's pretty much it.

Seriously asking, am I okay if I jump straight into Trudograd from a story perspective? How self-referential is the game? Never seen the ending of the first game and I honestly don't remember anything besides what I mentioned above.

Well technically, and that's a BIG TECHNICALLY you don't. But that way you'll skip on really fun quests, won't make good friends and better enemies, and you will have to brute force or buy yourself into end game, instead of moving to end game via the help of plot.
No action in Trudograd will stop you from finishing the game. Even murdering everybody and becoming the enemy of the state and such will still not stop you from getting to that final dungeon eventually. But neither will it be fun nor will it be fair.

That's neat! Thank you!

Gameplay more diverse with more combat tricks and stuff to play around with, new game mode which is a graphic text quest thing like in Space Rangers but fully voiced, writing stricter, improved English, less memes, also made it a point not to use celebrities for picture references. All new characters have legally procured and really changed stock photo nobodies, fan translators, family members, friends and fan volunteers as paint models for artist.

I agree with you on bets, I will vote to increase them. But RE doesn't sound right, it shouldn't be less prevalent than in Atom. I'm gonna report this for a check. You are 15 lvl or so right? Or are you experiencing this with higher level person? Encounter rate is tied to a few attributes, but no amount of skill makes Re this rare as you describe.

Yep, I'm still 16 lvl but I've visited like 15 locations already.

Update: after getting 17 lvl I immidiately got a few (non-combat ones)
