Why is there a report button in the private messages? Wouldn't that show the mods private messages? Do they have access to all of our conversations? Aren't they suppose to be private between specific individuals? What exactly can the mods see? What else can they see? Is the Codex a 2 party consent state?

Just send me the product man, no more pms.

Ffs why can't you just use the dark web like normal sellers of highly illegal goods?

Of course DU can see your private messages. They are probably stored unencrypted in his personal porn folder.
No, just unencrypted on the server.

And just for the record, encrypting them wouldn't change anything. The site would need to unencrypt them in order to show them to you. To do that, means using code. Given I have access to the code, I'd know how to unencrypt the message.

It's OK though, it's not like I sit here browsing through the database.

Browsing through mountains of Codex PMs would probably strain even the toughest and most resilient of minds.

It's like those people at Facebook and the FBI that watch sick shit all day, eventually the abyss gazes back.

This is actually an interesting question for me, how many PMs actually happen on the Codex? Do people use it to actually communicate with one another?

I rarely if ever do PMs. I've done some wall shitposting, but that's something different...

We use PMs a lot, but usually only to badmouth those who are not included in conversation, soooooo...

I guess showing you a snip of my PMs history won't hurt:

The one with the racewar went well for a while, but you called in the military too early...

My longest 1 on 1 conversation is 7 pages long. The Codex is a community and with communities there will always be personal exclusive relationships and private conversations. It's why I was originally so shocked that the mods might have access, because they contain very intimate moments

NJClaw , Ghulgothas , what the fuck is that conversation about green avatars suppose to mean? Did you adequately push back on the notion?

My longest is 61. :smug:

Everything you post "privately" on the internet can be viewed by someone with the authority to do so. When it comes to forums, you just have to trust that they won't abuse their power. Generally a good idea not to post anything that could be considered sensitive to start with.
