Sseth is a Jewish cancer treatment specialist in Austria(?) who pretends to be a black man online for fun and profit.
Nah man, his family fled Russia around the time the communists took over, so he might very well be the last scion of the Romanov family and he hides his identity to avoid having Putin sneak up on him one day and twist his head off to avoid his bloodline taking the Russian throne once again.

Who in the flying fuck is this Sseth weirdo and who in the double-flying fuck is this Mandalore asshole?

Sseth (pronounced "Seff") is a mildly entertaining tuber and video game reviewer, who specialises in classic PC games picks a game off of the /v/ recommended games list every couple of months and does a mildly entertaining video on it. Imo they're alright in isolation but after a while his shtick of blatantly pandering to an edgy channish audience gets old really fast. Heres his formula in a nutshell:

>(Video starts)
"Hey, hey people. (insert sped up clip of a black man doing something weird) Seff here. Today I am going to talk about a... HIGHLY requested (sped up footage of some sort of memable exploit from the game in question) beloved indie darling (brief clip of a SFW gay porn scene), so I can get those sweet

sweet

NEETbux (rapidly zooms in on anti-semitic imagery)"

He's definitely not bingeable. He also plagiarised some of Kruggsmash's stories in his DF video and never apologised. Apparently a trained medical professional but that may as well be memes. Calls his fanbase the (((merchant guild))).

Mandalore is a mid-range video game reviewer about whom people have spawned a meme about him being Sseth's sober persona. No idea where that came from. It's not funny either. It's probably just because their audiences overlap. If you ask me, he has shit taste because he thinks that Brigador is perfect. He has made videos on some obscure and weird games like EYE or Mystery of the Droods, which I find interesting but not for his input. Once virtue signalled his ass off and believed Twitter brand "Rape Allegations"(c) made against popular streamer Vinny Vinesauce and tried his hardest to get him cancelled. Turned out to be nothing but bullshit but Vinny turned out fine anyway so no one really cares anymore and Mandalore got off scot free.

Tl;dr 2 cunts you watch when you're bored. Entertainers first, reviewers second.

Probably true, he did a some sort of lecture on cancerology that you could probably find few pages ago.

No idea where that came from.

Sseth appeared a few time in some of mandalore's video, and he made some joke in one of his faq about thanking Sseth for inviting him to lunch.

If you ask me, he has shit taste because he thinks that Brigador is perfect.

I'm actually curious about your opinion on Brigador, did not find it on the related thread.

He has made videos on some obscure and weird games like EYE or Mystery of the Droods, which I find interesting but not for his input.

This is more or less the reason why I watch him. He rarely have an insightful knowledge on the game, but he actually play them and he's not too obnoxious to watch (which tend to be the exception rather than the norm). It's decent entertainment if you want to watch something about game you might have not played or heard about.

tried his hardest to get him cancelled
That's a bit hyperbolic. Basically, someone he knows (my money on a woman )made the classic "false accusation" move, and ask him to use his "influence" so that him and his community jump on the bandwagon. He accepted out of sheer malevolence/retardation , and posted few mean tweet. When he turns out it was bullshit, he deleted them and said he was sorry.
I personally think it was more out of stupidity, he seems to belong to the portion of the "gamer/geek/nerd" who think that sjw and the like tend to push things a bit too far, but are "fighting the good fight" or so.

I think it's pretty lame all things considered. The tutorial is like 500 missions long, gameplay is pretty unvaried and gets boring real fast and this whole reddit tier le epic 80's soundtrack is completely out of place seeing as nothing about the game screams 80's. Controls and visual feedback are not as good as they could be either. What bothers me the most is that it just fails at the basics of an action game. This is mostly due to lacklustre sfx and art direction. If I'm piloting a 20 ft tall mech I don't want it to make the sound of a mobility scooter when it walks around and when I stomp entire blocks with it, I don't want it to sound like I knocked over a garbage can. When I blow up another mech with a 90mm howitzer I want that bitch to go flying in a million pieces not just go click-poof and turn into a greyed out version of itself. That shit needs to go EEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOO-PBBGNBNGNBNGNBNGNBNMYLEG. If you catch my drift

Fun fact my steam review for the game got deleted most likely at the request by butthurt devs. I also pointed out how one of the main devs was a cringy holocaust denier so that was probably it.

Personaly, I had no issue with the sound feedback being somewhat muted, considering how far the camera is from the action.

I respeccfully disagree; Seth's videos have a very high meme saturation and to me, are even funnier than Zero Punctuations, though less succinct. He doesn't cover EVERYTHING about a game but does talk about enough details so that you'd know if you want to get it or not. The edgy stuff doesn't go overboard (for me) and it doesn't seem like he's trying and failing (like Jim Sterling for eg). Also most of the games he reviews seems to be ones from his childhood / recent ones he enjoys because most of them aren't mainstream or cult classics.

Mandalore is Seth without the edge with similar problems but he also gets across the good and bad of a game adequately. Both of them have a rambling / unstructured style though.

Also, from my limited lore knowledge, the merchants' guild is Seth's patrons, Mangalore has a job which is his primary occupation and timesink and they both seemingly used to do edgier stuff in their previous and now scrubbed channels / videos.

Finally, who would you say are top tier game-reviewers?

Caim I'd almost forgotten about Ross. He covers games that are even more niche / unknown than Mandy, Seth, Grim, and even the Codex's own Ed. I do hate spoilers in reviews though, and his reviews are like an explanation of mechanics as he explains the story.

Blackshirt Yes, TB was one of a kind. His ''first impressions'' were better than many reviews and he was sport on in his critiques of mechanics and the technical aspects. His videos were also spoiler free.

I can't help feeling he was brought down by his ''friends'' like those from Kotaku and the other usual suspects whose main work was on twitter. The get cancer tweet was a one-off lashing out which he later apologized for but considering that he was in the center of a friend circle which had major koolaid addiction and TDS, its surprising he remained as sane as he did for as long as he did.

He caught a bit of the ol' TDS towards the end, but aside from that he was a relatively well adjusted guy who was generally anti-woke and entertaining.

He mostly stayed neutral, even leaned slightly pro-GG during 2014/2015. Most of his friends immediately joined the anti-GG bandwagon.

He always called out shitty practices within the industry whether it was by journalists, publishers, developers or even "influencers" and was always on the side of the consumers. In term of ideals I feel like he was always pro-GG but never wanted to take any sides and I don't blame him considering it was full or grifters and shady groups on either side.
As far as his last years go, I think his editor and PR guy said that TB became very distanced from his audience and couldn't relate to them anymore. I'm sure his entourage and health problems only exacerbated the issue.

Yeah IIRC he was the one who broke the news about hidden sponsorships from Shadow of Mordor, as well as many others. He even did a video defending Kotaku when they were blacklisted by Bethesda because less opinions are a net negative for the consumer. Considering the truckloads of shit it spewed in general and on him specifically, that took dedication to his principles. In GG, he didn't come out as anti and it led to some shitty outlets branding him a leader of it too iirc. That's also a sign of mental fortitude considering most of the American games coverage establishment jumped on it like it was the last packet of soylent on earth.

I didn't know his staff talked about him; could you share the link to it? One of the last things that set him at odds with the normal(more or less) community was that trap drama at a convention where he was pressured to virtue signal by kicking a visitor out for a ''transphobic'' question.

After his death, Zooc (his editor, PR guy and graphic designer), released a video talking about how it was working under him. I think he deleted it from his channel since I can't find it anymore.

Apologies for missing halloween
I'm not dead - video is in production but I didn't manage to get it done for the 31st, it should be out soon however - like early November.

All my love and blessings to everyone,
Thank you for your patience,
Sseth
