It looks like it might be applied on top of bilinear filtering or just to a low resolution which is then rescaled to fill the screen, which is why it looks so bad. Those filters should be used with internal resolutions or resolution scaling that matches the monitor's resolution.

It's literally the filter supplied with the Steam release. The only one available. I'd wager that at least some thought went into it - again, it's either that or raw, and it's not as if the raw is accurate to what you would have seen on your TV, is it now?
Anyhow, it looks perfectly fine to me in motion.

Nightmare difficulty.

Now that I think of it, I miss somewhat the excitement of buying an item from Griswold and then discovering later what it actually looks like. Of course back then I didn't know a claymore from a falchion.

I sometimes go back to my favorite Chaos Theory levels, trying to improve the time and rating. My personal best for the Bank, Expert difficulty, no KOs, no detections:

A farewell ride around Britain before moving to Mexico in FH5. After five years of driving on the wrong side of the road in Australia and Britain, we'll finally drive normally in FH5 :salute:

I was so happy to get 15 minutes on Displace, Expert difficulty, ghosted, no quicksaves. Then I go to Youtube to check if there are some better runs, and some maniac completed it in 6:29. What a disappointment. But it still feels great when you nail a perfect run after many tries.
