Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders is an action adventure RPG with city-building elements, where we will take the role of a classic hero, who fights against the tyranny and injustice that haunts Sherwood. As Robin, we’ll fight, hunt, craft, steal, and of course - help the local community grow in spite of the Sheriff of Nottingham’s regime – all within an open world environment that can be freely explored.

gif02.gif

Robin Hood is a famous hero of medieval English folk tales, believed to have traversed the forests of Sherwood with his companions a long time ago. In the game we’re going to meet those legendary characters as well – such as Lady Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck, Allen a Dale, and Will Scarlet.

gif05.gif

The main task is to help a young, growing community of refugees and rebels improve and expand itself. Starting with what could be described as a small forest settlement, with a bit of care, luck and work, it can end up as a town full of people. Recruit local villagers, rebels on the run from the law, and even the citizens and guards of Nottingham themselves.

gif04.gif

We will start our adventure with building a forest camp, which we will be able to develop with the arrival of new residents. We will be responsible for choosing the right place in Sherwood Forest to build the village.

gif06.gif

Another important part of taking care of the settlement will be to manage the community members’ professions and tasks and training them to become craftsmen, hunters, or guards, and to manage the settlement’s resources, either gathering them yourself or stealing them from convoys and aristocratic estates.

gif03.gif

The main goal is to build a community large and meaningful enough to trigger a revolution in the ranks of Nottingham, ending the tyranny once and for all.
Can Robin Hood and his company make it and put an end to injustice? Their fate is up to you!

Some more details about gameplay and walkthroughs: apparently aside from city-building, we are going to have Souls-like boss battles, freeing prisoners from convoys and sneaking into sheriff's castle

It's a PlayWay game. Title no doubt selected for maximum Steamtard wishlist clicks.

That makes sense. It's not only the selection of words in the title that is poor, the premise conveyed by it is utterly stupid as well.

Robin Hood and his band of outlaws, had they existed outside of folklore, would not have been building structures in Sherwood Forest.

They would have stayed at a selection of temporary camps that they would have moved between to avoid patrols.

They would have probably wintered with sympathetic villagers in barns or outbuildings but would absolutely not have built structures there, either. If they had, the Sheriff's men would A) have demanded higher taxes and B) become suspicious about how poor serfs had the time and resources to build new structures.

The whole idea for this game is offensively dumb.

Watched a video yesterday befoire sleeping. Was planing to buy. Then the retarded "hur dur a giant bear is immune to arrows use a sword" BS happened and I lost my interest. Seriously. If a longbow can't kill something, you should use traps, poison or something like it, not a freaking sword. Lost the interest in the game.

Gathering supplies
Hello Sherwood Builders!

Gathering supplies is important if you want to manage and build the village!
Areas where you can find stones and trees are marked on the map,
Objects available for gathering glow in two colors: green for trees and orange for stones.

You can collect certain amount of stones in the village by picking them up from the ground. In case you need a big supply of this material, as well as iron, grab a pickaxe and visit one of the nearby mines!

Searching for the perfect tree in a vast forest isn't as easy as it may sound! Luckily, by grabbing an axe you will immediately see the green glow around it. Be sure that you are in a favourable spot, marked on your map! Objects available for gathering glow in two colors: green for trees and orange for rocks, depending on the appropriate extracting tool you are holding.

This is how cutting trees and gathering stones look in the game.
What do you think? Have already done that in the game?

A game named Robin Hood MUST have great archery. With many arrow types, many different arrowhead types(bodkin, broadhead, short bodkin for eg) many bow types, windage, arrow drop and other factors, dealing with heavy armor should be hard. Sadly, this game seems to focus way more in building than in archery,

Hello Sherwood Builders!

During the game, Robin gains levels, thanks to which he can improve his passive skills like increasing the capacity limit or the critical damage dealt to enemies.

After Robin gained enough experience he can unlock new traits, picking the one will unlock other in its close proximity.

The skill tree is divided into four main categories: range, melee, health and crafting.
Some of them cost more than other, so plan ahead!

See you in the forest!
