Visually the improvements that were really needed were much better draw distance and unlocked framerate without bugs. If they would've kept the rest of graphics the same it would've been perfect.

I would add re-rigged cutscene character models to be used for gameplay, seeing how they are already in the games and do not clash with the original visual style.

GTA3 was a technological breakthrough and people were amazed by it. What are you comparing it to, crazy taxi and driver?

Literally any 3D game with huge maps? Quarantine? Daggerfall? Terra Nova: Strike Force Centuri? And hell, why not Driver too.

Almost any high profile game back then was making steps forwards regarding technological progress you dummy. And plenty not so high profile too.

Mafia came out what, a year after GTA III? Compare both visuals and physics in the two and it's like they are from completely different eras.
I remember trying to play GTA 3 after having finished Mafia 1....it was painful. Mafia 1 is just on a whole different level compared. Made GTA look like games that came with your cereal box or something.

All they needed to improve was greater draw distance and to fix that hardware limitation issue from GTA 3, and to a lesser extent the other two, where the game would spawn the same model of car over and over again.

Mafia was derivative shit. A buggy mess that wanted to be GTA and failed.

Actually no it did not try to be GTA at all. As you can see if you ever played the game.
Coming back to GTA after playing Mafia was a shock to the system. So much more juvenile and lacking any depth whatsoever.

Thankfully they fixed that in Mafia III.

You are coming off as a dishonest poseur here yourself tbh...
The two games are trying to achieve very different things. GTA3 is certainly the more "gamey" and fun of the two, Mafia was aiming more at faux realism nd immersion.

Its not just that. Things like interface, controls, gunplay, driving are just inferior in GTA3. It could pass for a mobile game these days.

Out of Touch in Vice City was so iconic, what a bunch of cheapskates.

SA without It Was A Good Day is also pretty :retarded:

Will San Andreas still be missing the same songs back when it was rereleased a few generations back? Are there even any songs left on those two games?
Gotta admit, its hilarious to think that VC won't have Billie Jean anymore. So much for putting people into the '80s spirit.

I'd accept the lack of those iconic songs if they didn't charge the full fucking price for it. It's not a big deal, given the assumption that "mods will fix it". None of the features disclosed justify forking out 60$, either.

San Andreas definitely looks good. Couldn't care about 3, or VC.

Though price is high enough to put me off.

Shall wait for some price cut. Not in the hurry to buy it.

This shit is going to sell millions of copies.

Truly we live in the dumbest timeline.

A generation of kids were raised on MTV and other reality TV, Xbox360/PS3-era retard gaming, Dubstep, Will Ferrel, Beyonce & Jay Z, Social Media, Auto-Tune, Gossip magazines, sexual content targeting children, the Wii, Mobile games...

The great decline of the 2000s. I will never forgive the evil cunts that shoved this shit down the kid's throats.
Life imitates art. You are what you consume....The damage to current and future generations is likely irreversible.
