Damn, all those lolis and no porn, they clearly don't know their demographic
This is a dungeon crawler based on a shmup franchise. It's so niche that adding porn would actually make it more mainstream.I would rather have as many goyim be capable of playing this as possible on all major platforms
Sure.Thought the 3 or so people on this forum that actually give a shit about this game might appreciate the news.
LoT was the reason I started to learn how to code and now have a CS degree and am experimenting with game dev stuff.More people should get into LoT, especially CRPG fans with dev or design aspirations, even if the art style isn't your thing. It has the best blob combat system, bar none, and hundreds of games could be improved 10 fold by simply copying it.
Floor 6 is still fairly early, but those complaints remain somewhat valid throughout the game. However, I think the trash battles are more of an optimization challenge than an actual grind- skilled play is rewarded with not simply progressing, but doing so 4-5 times faster than you would if you constantly have to retreat and heal. It also gives a relatively safe way to test out various tactics and builds without getting your ass pounded every 3 seconds. Retreat spam is also very forgiving. For my money, I'd rather see the encounters not only become a little more difficult, but also the rest stops become more scarce, so it's actually a war of attrition to get to the next warp point or whatever. Such gameplay is a lost art these days, but I think these devs could pull it off. They probably won't though, as it's a seldom appreciated niche within a niche.Playing LoT 2 (Steam) right now, one of the things with which I'm not exactly satisfied in this game is dungeon exploration (I'm on lvl 6 of the tree). I can certainly overlook isometric view and the presence of automap, but the dungeon itself is the bigger problem for me. The dungeon levels are just too empty for their gigantic sizes.
Another disappointing thing is the overabundance of easy trash battles. Basically 95% of the game is just grind to level up your anime girls in these lame random encounters before they are able to kill the level's boss. Battles with bosses is where the real gameplay is concentrated, the rest is just worthless filler. I cannot deny seeing levels, stats and other numbers go up is fun, but I wish there were more to regular battles than being a tool to prepare your team for story/boss encounters, the meat of the game. Perhaps the lacking difficulty is the issue here, but I can imagine increasing the difficulty without also decreasing the frequency of random encounters and the size of dungeon levels can make the game more tedious rather than challenging. So I'm torn on this one.
Is LoT 3 going to change anything in these regards?
