It's nice game, first segment (gay man) is mostly walking and talking, but second (lady) and third (black doctor) have good puzzle and story.

Yeah, the Last Door is a damn fine game with a fantastic atmosphere of decay and hidden horror. Brillant experience - except the last chapter which was utterly boring and uninspired. I myself didn't play If On A Winter's Night to the end, somehow it couldn't capture my imagination. The art style is brillant though, some of the best pixelart I've ever seen.

I loved this game, the atmosphere and art are phenomenal. I'm also a super autist for like art deco train stuff, so that super helps.

Is the game related to the book "If on a winter's night a traveler"?
I've never read the Calvino book so there may be more references in the game than just the title, but there is an explicit mention of Calvino in chapter 3. Just in passing, though.

I see right there 3 reasons not to play the game. Does the game take place in a fantasy setampunk world or in ours? Because gay man I can buy if he were like Oscar Wilde but it feels like no one will give any attention to it (remember, Anne Bolene was always black YOU BIGOT, so gay men were always accepted in history). Black doctor is straight out of fantasy land and the devs just jerking themselves off.

So, gameplay is literally on rails?

Some of those rooms seem fucking enormous for something that's supposed to be on a train. Train car is like 10 feet wide, max.
