Exactly same thing was said for Witcher 3 before its release..and for most people it met or exceeded expectations anyway.

To answer your questions above - no, I don't really think they'd blatantly lie just to sell copies. The reason is twofold. First is that they have pretty much everything riding on this game. If they hit the jackpot, they will go into the hall of fame for good, Witcher 4 will be hyped even more and they will swim in cash. If they fail however, they basically are done. You can't tell people that 'it just works' when it really doesn't and expect fans to keep being your fans and buy your next product. It just doesn't work this way.

The second reason is pretty trivial and Lord of Riva explained it pretty well.

I have my own reasons also but I'd like to keep those to myself.

No. It's all there and there are numerous mods making real use of it. I doubt you've dived into the Construction Set to check it..

It's tuned down in the official release (because obviously it's demanding, crap consoles can't handle it without it impacting on performance). Couldn't really care less since i didn't play it on console + i was smart enough to not play a Bethesda game at release. I "waited"(there are other games) like 2 years to play Oblivion, heavily modded, it was amazing and the A.I was awesome too.. I modded it to have other adventurers (like the player) raiding dungeons and looking to get rich etc. Really cool. I also modded it so that food was a must for every NPC, so they would go out and hunting if food was out of stock in the stores.

While he's been caught exaggerating and perhaps lying he's no worse than anyone else, probably one of the better when it comes to "AAA" games. CDPR are 100x times worse.

If the question is if you can make NPC's finish tasks using the radiant AI, then yes you can. Again, tons of mods expands on the radiant AI, what he described in the early interviews is nothing, you can do tons more with it than that.

Why not name some other RPG with more advanced AI when it comes to NPC's.. oh, you can't? what a surprise.

I made that mistake on release, and it burned deep inside my mind never to pick Angel again. Tbh, I uninstalled shortly after that. But no mistake this time. Afaik, one of the patches introduced pictures of both escorts because so many players complained about it. Yet another proof it's always better to wait at least a year before playing any game.

Well this game is made by studio who back in 2015 had bulky tranny working on the game and modeling one of sorceresses ( Keira Metz), symbols of female sexiness, based off his face, and he rubbed it in people's face. Also their moderator for their website was too SJW for Bioware. Also their Todd Howard, called Marcin Iwinski, is militant vegan who from 2014 made corporate ban for all employees to eat nothing else on corporate grounds but vegetables, fruits and on holidays fish. Their senior level designer is beta as fuck ugly hapa who looks like american school shooter. Every tranny month they raise tranny flag for whole month.
