Cyberjank wasn't able to not only get platinum, but didn't even get into gold, in the year following the release, losing to multiple indie games.
Witcher 3 was platinum in 2016/17, gold in 2018/19, silver in 2020, and now bronze.
:dead:
This is so much worse than I expected.
Do you even see what else is in the platinium nigger? Battlefield 2042 that has NEGATIVE score on steam much worse than cyberbug keep coping.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1517290/Battlefield_2042/
And that game with negative score still made more money than Cyberturd, which is what this ranking is about. Retard.
Where are you getting your metrics?

Actually illiterate.

Really doesn't sound like the sort of change that would bring back those who were turned away by all the negative feedback.

Depends. Barbers, garages and other cosmetic drek is obviously useless but a better AI and a completely new itemization does sound like an improvement to me.

They'll probably never turn this cutscene shooter into the RPG we were promised but for me the game might switch from "never touch" to "maybe give it a try someday".

It's cerainly sounds line a lot of empty marketing speak and low cost features. To quote V here: "Humble sounds affordable. * transfers 1 eddie*"
Everything that does not contain new voice acting can be done without much planning whenever an intern is avaiable. The barber will most likely just be a machine V steps in, sheet, they might even reuse the UI from char gen, Bethesda style.
Itemization? Wut? Maybe items now have the correct amount of mod slots at least. Doubt they rebalance cybermod requirements.
More TEXT messages from your bed bunnies? Half a day for the intern, rest he puts up a few more radiant encounters hustles, look how packed the map now is player! :hahano:
And AI improvments? What do you want to improve there? Combat AI is servicable. Car AI/police would certainly be nice, but is it worth the hassle? They should just leave the cops reluctant to follow you at all, even fits the lore. They most likely just "fix" how police gets triggered by even looking at someone crooked at times.
Probably better that way. Never forget: the last time they wanted to "improve" enemy detection, because they had problems seeing you if you were above or below them, they did it so hamfisted some can now spot you through a megablock if you are even slightly higher above ground then they are...

There's 4chan rumors about a re-release of the game on next gen consoles called "Samurai edition":

- CD Projekt will perform a live show in February for the presentation of this edition and other news.
- New features introduced in the video game such as: barber shops, garages, an improvement in the quality of the AI, a new fog system, a new interface and a complete transformation of the loot system.
- The promised free DLCs will be included in this edition and include 4 new weapons, the new game + mode and customization of our apartment.
- Changes will be introduced as Judy and Panam now send you more text messages and more interactions in general.
- The first expansion will take place in Pacifica and its size is big.
- A combat zone has been added where you can perform different secondary missions related to the disputes between the two gangs of the place: the Bozos (a group of psychopaths with a great sense of humor) and the Slaughterhouse (a group of violent fascists).
- Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a new minigame in the true Gwent style of The Witcher.
- The Cyberpunk 2077 anime made by the Trigger studio has a story made 100% by the CD Projekt studio where they claim that the result in animation and plot is incredible and has many references to Akira.
- Another expansion is in early development but details are still unknown.

Overall doesn't seems too crazy. I think it would be true

CDPR already confirmed this is a fake rumor, it is just a compilation of old leaks and wishful thinking. Some of it like the soft relaunch, free DLC and the first expansion are pretty much confirmed by older leaks and CDPR itself but nobody knows the nature of the relaunch and the first expansion, only the free DLC are somewhat known because of datamining but not a single one of them change interface, ai or the loot system.

that guy was the original cyberpunk 2077 game director before that useless no talent hack badowski took over and decided the game should be gta in the future while also being deus ex and borderlands at the same time. sucks that we will never get to see his vision for what once was a real cyberpunk rpg.

Adam Badowski is Pete Hines of CDPR. Complete retard with too much influence. Something like Chris Parker at Obsidian, Badowski is probably Parker's cousin from Poland. Marcin Iwinski is cross between Todd Howard and Josh Sawyer, except he went full vegan, full shizo, full liberal. That's the reason behind his ghoulification on pictures

Summa summarum: it's insane that people in general pay little to no attention to Who? makes their games and are continuosly pikachu surprised that good games are not made by company logo. Which is all that Bioware, Rockstar, CDPR in 2022. have. Logo

Even if true, still shit game. Shit foundations, shit systems. You don't patch those in, you make another game. Shit company.

The only question that matters in this case, in true cyberpunk corporate dystopia fashion, is what will sell and what can be salvaged to get more sales (or alternatively what can calm down nervous shareholders). If an enhanced edition and bunch of major patches can achieve that they will do it, although I sooner expect them to shove itemization or character system improvements in with a DLC as a selling point if they at all want to fix those. That is of course if they are at all capable of designing non-shit systems here. From a project POV there's a lot that could be salvaged for profit without gambling on a new multi-year project to repair brand image.

The only major thing in this game that can't be patched out without significant resources is the main quest design and its length, lack of C&C and other unexpected fuck ups in areas that were Twitcher 3's strong sides.

Lastly there is one problem with making another game if this one has shit systems and shit foundations, what guarantee is that the design there wouldn't be shit as well? At the very least they need to prove with an expansion pack to the mouthbreathers that they can deliver storyfaggotry or whatever it was that made Twitcher 3 so overrated. Otherwise even the bottom of the redditor gamer barrel won't buy the next thing.

They will. Never underestimate innate cuckoldry and blissful ignorance of normies starved for some open world games.CDPR and Bethesda can fuck-up as long as there is no viable alternative. That could be Kingdom Come 2, Elex II and Avowed. Will they, thou? We'll see...

Normies care only about one thing: being sucked into alternative worlds, isekai style. Witcher 3 did it, Cyberpunk 2077 failed. That's why in 20 years games will be 50h long dreams, like in original Total Recall

Normie wanna feel emotions inside video games. That's all. Mechanics should just be good enough, and no gameplay designer today has any clue what the fuck he's doing. It's all about simulating the feel you're in that Gameworld and simulated challenge. But no real challenge or gameplay system which demands any kind of thinking or learning. It's all about making normies feel and spending money. 90% of people deserve to live in Dystopia

Open world RPGs, which are beloved by everyone (including Codex) need better Devs. That could be Indies like modders who made Gothic Archolos mod. They should use some old engine, and focus on art style, game systems, story and role-playing. Give me 10m$ and I'll make you at least 100m$ in 4 years

You vastly overestimate Pity Hines influence. He is just with them so long, and probably knows too much dirt about the Zenimax honchos, they decided to give him a fancy "vice president" title for his card and keep him occupied blurting out some univeral phrases. Everytime I hear him, it feels as if his knowledge about a game comes from watching someome for 5 mins and a small note someone handed him in passing.
There is a reason you always see Toddler Howard on stage when it counts. :hahano:

It occurred to me the other day that they could do a lot to improve the game by simply not having the Heist so early. IOW, just hold off with that and let you explore the city, move up through the fixer ranks and doing side-quests. Then trigger the Heist and the whole sequence after that as something that's more like an endgame sequence when you're like lvl 15 or something, or when you've reached a certain level of street cred.

You could still wake up after the first mission, meet Jackie at the noodle bar and be introduced to Misty and Victor, but Jackie doesn't say anything about Dex and a big job (that part of the VO could be split off to another meetup with Jackie later in the game), and then you're on your own to do whatever you fancy.

One understands that they wanted you to get into the MQ when the game was first released, and they wanted to give that false impression of quest complexity with the All Foods quest. But now that the cat's out of the bag, surely they could treat it more like an RPG and give the player some psychological breathing space to build their character? Maybe flesh out meeting the Fixers in person a bit more too, don't get calls from them till your street cred is up, something like that.

I think the city's impressive enough, and there are enough side-quests so that you could noodle around the city for quite a few levels before feeling the need for something more meaty - and by then the whole Heist and post-Heist sequence would be welcome, you'd feel like you were off to the races.

Sure but then you play for 30h before getting to KEANU BIG CHUNGUS and casuals which are 90% of the audience get bored. Game needed about 2 more quests (one where everything gets fucked and we are left with nothing and one that goes very well and gets us noticed by bigger fixers) with Jackie so we can form bigger connection with him.

Pretty sure we've been over that before, it's ironic that a company that started out doing Baldur's Gate localisations didn't spot the obvious applicability of BG2's resolution of the open world/urgent main quest conflict - raise X gold street cred to visit Spellhold get Dex's job. Set that bar relatively low and let the player ignore it and carry on if they choose to, don't push the story into urgent territory until after Dex's quest has been accepted.

Don't get your hopes up, it's not gonna happen. 1.5's gonna be a polish patch featuring bugfixes, performance optimisations, the previously-planned "free DLCs" and some cut features thrown back into the mix. Maybe some ambient AI upgrades too. After that it's all in on the expansion. There won't be any significant changes to content going forward, 2077's OC is final.
