What's an RPG you'd like to see made?

Casino RPG. Attributes would be Strength (To throw cheaters out or fist fight security), Dexterity (To deal cards or do shady things), Intelligence (To catch on to bullshit), Charisma (lets you sweet talk people), Luck (up your odds of hitting it big).

Classes would be Degenerate (typical loser that gambles like a lunatic), Goon (some brute that looks for counting card cocksuckers and roughs 'em up), Furcoat Whore (latches on to the guy throwing dice at the Craps table), Dealer (self explanatory), Punk (parking lot thug that jumps people that have won), Slot Wiz (autist that gets disturbingly turned on from bright flashing lights and ringing sounds).

Your goal is to either run high rollers into committing suicide in the bathroom from losing it all or you try to ascend to being a high roller yourself and do ludicrous amounts of cocaine off hot goth girls tits.

Yep... smokes cigarette

That's the game I want.

An rpg that focuses entirely on the stock market.

What about a RPG where you play as a gnome illusionist/enchanter with 5 half ogre slaves in a quest to reestablish a long lost gnome merchant nation. And then, make other countries dependent upon your credit to operate, allowing you to have a control behind the shadows and get huge profits? hu3hu3

Yes. But that's enough about the canonical Icewind Dale aftermath.

Ravenloft: Stone Prophet but this time with Turn Based combat on hexagon grid. With focus on Dungeon Exploration which will be done in First Person. For progression, in order to figure out where to go next you'll need to solve different parts of the mysterious Stone Prophet's Prophecy. Each time you complete a dungeon. Another riddle of the Prophecy gets unlocked, which, of course, you'll need to solve. There'll also be a heavy emphasis on Anhktepot the Dreaded Mummy mocking the party, but rather than it only being within certain parts of the dungeons. He'll also mock the party in the overworld and in random intervals. Similar to Count Strahd who would laugh at your futile attempts while traveling around the derelict village of Barovia.

Music productions need to be good though. Both Stone Prophet and Strahd's Possession are legends because of the glorious sound tracks. Also. Character Creator needs to be reminiscent of this:

Basically character creator needs to involve some sort of sexy, mystical, gypsies using cards to determine your party.

Thus, is the type of RPG I'd like to see. A game like Ravenloft.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Cyrodiil

Building on the success of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, TES IV: Cyrodiil will ameliorate its weaknesses while retaining, and perhaps even improving, its strengths:
  • Dungeons will be larger and more complex generally, with a greater number on the scale of Arkngthand or Kogoruhn
  • A much larger amount of unique dialogue, especially for important NPCs, and no voice-acting in dialogue mode
  • More quests will have alternative outcomes, with story-based C&C
  • The setting will be the Imperial City and a limited section of the Imperial Province around it, allowing for a reasonable scale (architecture: Roman, Romanesque, Byzantine, Gothic)
  • 3 political factions will be joinable and offer a large number of quests, while not being particularly suited to any one character type
  • Aside from the political factions, there will be the Imperial Legion, Imperial Cult, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood as joinable factions
  • The main quest will follow directly from the resolution to the main quest of Morrowind, will actually make sense, and will be substantially less than completely linear
  • The system of character progression/customization will be expanded and improved
  • Even less creature/item leveling than existed in Morrowind
  • More logistics, to enhance exploration
  • Some improvements to the combat system, without making it action-based
  • Stealth will be considerably improved by modelling it on the Thief games, with more interesting quests for the stealth-based factions/guilds than existed in Morrowind
  • As in Morrowind, there will be no minigames, no quest compass, at least 27 skills, an interface designed for computers, statistics-based combat, etc.

Im in a fortunate position that most of my top 5 RPG of all time have expansions being made and that includes BG, Witcher and Elder Scrolls

But going forward I would like to see continued investment in these franchises but from a new RPG IP I would be interested in something from Steven Erikson and the Malazan Book of the Fallen universe

And then even more important than that is I want to play Bloodlines 2 as an exciting and worthwhile RPG, I have concerns like most of us around this game being released. So any RPG set in the WOD I want to see being made

I'd like to make a sort of Dark Age of Camelot / UO / Everquest mashup, but as single player RPG. It would be so amazing it would humiliate all the mainstream companies and they would all commit harikari from the shame. The public outrage would too overwhelming once they discover how shafted they have been for so long. And then I'd have the game corrupt itself and format everyones hard drive and destroy Steam with a trojan, as punishment for being decline enablers.

I'd like to see more DSA / The Black Eye stuff. Even though it's German I don't know a lot about it other than RoA which I love.

I couldn't get into Drakensang.

Western with highly lethal, turn-based combat.

You would play as a small town sheriff over the span of 1860s and the ending would reflect on your choices from a modern perspective- has your town survived until 2000s or is it one of the many ghost towns in US? Are you remembered for your fame or infamy or maybe you were entirely forgotten?

Anything TB, party-based with a good system, character dev, combat encounter and quest design.
  • Prelude to Darkness in a Battle Brother like engine.
  • Gold Box titles in KotC 2 engine
  • Both Dark Sun in KotC 2 engine
  • Colony Ship released and influencing a whole generation of indie devs.

Whatever it is, it's gotta tick the following boxes:

  • Isometric
  • RTWP
  • Party based
  • Pulpy setting
  • In-depth buildfaggotry
  • Guns
  • Solid writing, not expecting much these days tho
Bonus points if solo runs are accommodated for example by the inclusion of items only a solo character can use.

A computer version of Paranoia pen&paper set as multiplayer with full betrayal options. I don't usually play multiplayer, but this I would.

Or anything Chaosium, something set in Hawckmoon, Stormbringer or Runequest's universe.

All turn-based of course.

I would be interested to see a spiritual successor to Darklands (you know, a fairly realistic depiction of the Middle Ages somewhere in Europe). It even could do without the fantasy elements. Failing that - pretty much the same thing, but set in the Gallic Wars period or a similar theme.

This has been my dream RPG for a long time. One of the most fun things in these open-world simulationist games is manipulating the stock market but most games are set before banking and stock trading and all advances financial institutions took off. Only a few space games have attempted it that I know of.

A VtM:B sequel, but not made by a Commiefornia studio set in Commiefornia, Soy York or Soyattle, a spiritual successor in Prague, Odesa, or other central/eastern European urban fantasy vampire game made by a guy like Daniel Vávra.
