The Twitter profile is concerning, but not proof of anything. I really don't care if a game dev loves faggots or hates them. I care if he sows LGBT propaganda into his product or not.

Putting tranny or gender theory bullshit is where I draw the line and I don't see evidence of that here.

The only exceptions I make are when devs repeatedly shill propaganda to their customers, or when one of them turns out to be a pedo. But again, I'm not seeing evidence of that here.

Then again, I didn't see evidence of that with BG3 either. Never preordering again lol.
I don't remember reading anything political in Primordia, so there's no reason to believe there's any agenda here either. What I remember was an adventure reminiscent of the 90s, and well worth playing. I'm okay with everything as long as nothing is forced and there's no moralization of the customers.
I look at that stuff being added by devs to their profiles as +2 ring of protection against the online Out-Rage Complex Syndicate (or ORCS). Put it on then forget it and your life's actual work (the game!) can continue instead of waging a never ending battle against the ORCS. As long as it's not a focus of their online presence, and Victor Pflug doesn't seem very interested in even talking about it (smart), then it gets a

What's up with the mega-niche microphone? + the hat gave a strong CB radio vibe.

Does age have much function outside of the thresholds (50/80)?

Curious if this would be better with just 3 buttons like Young - Middle-Aged - Old vs. clicking age button a bunch or if each digit has some impact.

You mean a capitulation. An "I won't stand in your way, please bully me last!" sign. Except they could just not weigh in either way and not answer any questions about it.

In the video above, I notice there's no sex selection option on character creation - whether because the character is assumed to be male, or to leave it ambiguous. Sort of like that, but on a Twitter profile. :M

A brief overview of the Mutoid portrait generator for Hibernaculum's Character Generator. We go off topic somewhat - but to quote Christopher Hitchens - at least it's progress of a kind.

It's a simple game, reminiscent of titles like Elvira or Waxwork if you remember those from the Amiga 500 era. Of course, it makes sense for it to be real-time as the combat is simplistic; it's all about the atmosphere and puzzles. Asking for it to be turn-based is the usual retardation you can see around here, from hypocrites who don't play either genre in any case.
Eh, it is a bit different from that. I understand that people like turn-based over real-time, because in turn-based you can go at your own pace. That said, the game will be in real-time for two reasons: the games that inspired it were in real-time and it would be easy to abuse a turn-based system to keep moving away from enemies, undermining the danger that comes with encountering them.

Personally I don't mind real-time games, as long as they come with a pause feature of sorts. Exactly because I enjoy playing my games without having to have high APM. I got enough of that experience playing highly competitive Warcraft 3 in multiplayer (and other fast-paced games). If I want to play something action-y, then it won't be a base-building game nor something where you move on cell-to-cell basis.
Inspire it != copy mechanics 1:1. In general, real-time is easier to abuse in dungeon crawler games compared to turn-based but both can be broken. In any case, your point is moot.

To be honest Arcancum completely broke for me when I realized I could scum switch realtime/turn based back in the day.

Might be a good time to reiterate my philosophy is basic;

Elvira felt atmospheric - keep.

I like EoB combat best - keep.

ADnD 2e was my edition in high school - use.

Lastly - make something unique because if not what's the point.

Sure, the only problem i have is that i subjectively dislike EOB combat and also think it's objectively bad. Combat based mostly on the ability to press buttons on regular basis - and i don't even mean button(s) to attack but to "dance" before enemies - is bad. Still, i respect your choices, at least you seem to know what kind of gameplay you are after which is more than some other developers. And the game does look very atmospheric.

A brand new video format & new character build in HIBERNACULUM - SciFi/Horror RPG (links in BIO).

Here we break things down far more succinctly than previous entries, explain our version of crafting items during camp (Dungeons & Dragons style), and meander only somewhat across various RPG game & pop culture related topics in a more 'longform' style video format!

We slide hub-wise through a build of an Ersatz BODY type character, with it's various features & then finally ready up to punch our way down into the void.

...Tell me about the Mutoid rabbits, George.

Links in BIO - like, sub & slam that bell icon for rapidly incoming updates regarding Hibernaculum; our flagship project & also we will also be delving into my own history over the past decade, in the game development community.

All audio tracks used in this video are original OST/music composed & created by Victor Pflug.

Hibernaculum Full Character Generator Playthrough Update

Greetings, fellow Hibernians!

I'm incredibly pleased to present to you all a longform style video detailing a complete run-through of an Ersatz BODY type character being created for use in Hibernaculum;

For those unfamiliar with our YouTube channel - we are building up our presence on the platform & have & will be posting a lot of our more detailed content about Hiber there - as opposed to being spread across Twitter, Discord etc.

Those outlets will still have the same solid content updates but there's just going to be a lot MORE on YouTube from now on - so if you would like to stay right up to date with the state of the build, discuss ideas for implementation or simply shoot the breeze about old school dungeon crawlers then head on over, like, subscribe and say hi!

We'll be happy to have you aboard there & we are also soon to be releasing a multi-part series on my own history as a game developer (Victor Pflug/Mords) within the community over the past decade plus - leading up to & including our crowdfunding campaign here on Kickstarter.

There's a lot to cover & I look forward to sharing this with you all - more than I can say to be honest.

Be seeing you ;)

Quick video showing some pixel art rendering process for an NPC portrait in Hibernaculum - with accompanying OST track featuring analog hardware & several period specific synthesizers (MT-32 era).

Danger comes in simple forms for the unwary in the Hibernaculum (quick laced-up graphics atmosphere test) - WISHLIST this horror sci-fi RPG now on Steam;

NOTE) Algis Budry's 1960 science fiction novella "Rogue Moon" played part in the inspiration for some of these scenes in particular. Intriguing and creepy - worth a read. That novella inspired many other media in later years as well I believe.

...Be seeing you ;)

Nice! They started working on smoother screen transistions, now it has this very laggy feel, like if i was reliving my childhood 10fps gaming experience. Its much better now since earlier looking at instantly changing screens literally made my eyes hurt and i had to look around from time to time. Though i do wonder if a slightly choppy feel could be in their aim since in a weird way it kinda fits with attack animations...
Unless those were just optimalisation problems since even mouse lagged on this video.

I thought this game was a work of small dev team rather than a solo dev, or at least i remembered it as such.
I checked it out and you are right. I found this: "Seeing the team grow from just myself as a solo creator on this project to include a modest yet colourful myriad of artists, programmers & community managers [...]". I guess it became a team after a successful Kickstarter.

In this video I go through some of the influence Horrosoft's Elvira 2: Jaws of Cerberus had on the development and production of our upcoming Horror/Sci-Fi RPG game; Hibernaculum.

I also paint a new pixelart scene for Hiber, and talk shop a little bit on some other topics. Mostly Elvira related. Gosh, what a game.

For more info check links in the BIO & wishlist Hibernaculum now on Steam (for PC, Mac, Linux & Nintendo Switch);

I draw my conclusions from that little info I am given. I am not expecting this to hit the builds variety of say Underrail.

What’s that Elvira? Sounds horny.
