Would you recommend Deep Space Nine ? I've never seen a Star Trek show before and admittedly have had little interest in them. But I was told DS9 had a lot of similarities to Babylon 5, a show that I really liked so I was interested in it.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Pretty good cast of in-depth characters, story-arcs are pretty damn good (except for most of season 1, which was basically TNG with a paint job), deconstructs tones of the more utopian aspects of the Federation, not much knowledge of the canon is required, would definitely recommend.

Damn, thats good. Sounds great, I'll try it asap. Too bad about S1. I remember B5's Season 1 was pretty shite as well.
