He's got a point. I wonder if my teaching is reaching some students but not all because of this. Sure a bunch of students don't care either way, but for some the courses might be better if approached differently. Hard to do that shit and start improvising in virtual classes though. Half the class doesn't even have a cam on, most likely because they want to spectate instead of participating.

I think this is all bullshit, really. When you teach subject X, what you are actually teaching is how to do X. There is some internal logic to it, and the students who really have an interest will learn. The ones who don’t, don’t and probably never will. The exams and grades are there so the dean fuckers are seeing you “doing your job”.
