It was mostly disagreeing with the idea that Far Cry 2 is another collect-a-thon, as it was mostly devoid of the systems common to them

They hadn't really gotten their formula down at that point, but if you have played one Farcry with the exception of the first one then you have played them all.

It's not a terrible game or anything, it's just that after FC2 every other game in the series has been the same but with minor differences. Stealthing into a camp in FC2 is the same as when you do it in FC5.

The collection bogus has gotten worse with time, as has the leveling systems and all that crap. Ubisoft's big series have also started to morph into one another, where everything feels samey.
