  • Tick Tock: a Tale for Two is a rock solid asymmetrical co-op puzzle game. It's just a couple hours and gives you plenty of opportunity to feel smart without wearing out its welcome. The art, music, and story are both creepy and cozy. If you have a friend, buy this and play it.
Someone on Steam forums said "Nobody can make a psychological horror game better than Bloober Team" in ref to the Silent Hill 2 remake, which is fucking stupid, so I posted a list of much better studios to do it. No obvious place to put this so I'll just share it here.

Dual Effect Games (Tormented Souls, 2021)
More survival horror than psycho horror, but this is far more than a shoot monsters game and there was a lot here that made my skin crawl.

The remake will fail in any case, not because the team may not give it best but they will simply not be able to fill in the expectations. I doubt that the studio matters much as long as they are capable.

    Remaking everything is the mistake.

I hate "adventure" games so much. Broken Pieces starts off with some promise but turns out to be another pixel hunting slog. Just awful.

Kid got filtered by an ultra ez game. There's no pixel hunting in Broken Pieces.
What is best detective game ? Have you played Occupation?

Oh and I haven't made time for The Occupation due to its mixed reviews. Looks like they never fixed the many bugs in the game, and for me a fixed-time format doesn't sound fun.

It's funny, I was just talking to a friend last weekend about the possibility of moving to Germany. udm must have picked it up on his spy satellite
Either that or he's secretly a substance use disorder specialist working in behavioral health in Oregon

I'm learning some German with Duolingo in my spare time because why not.
Just finished Remothered: Tormented Fathers. Not a good game, but an excellent horror experience. Recommended for genre fans.

Wunderbar I've looked at Broken Porcelain but I think I'm going to let it go due to the weak reception. I read somewhere that the creative lead, the guy who basically invented the IP, was not proud of it later ... if even he gives it a bad review I doubt it'll be worth my time. Maybe someday for science.

Zlaja Yeah, the studio is Italian. The moment to moment English translation isn't bad but there's definitely something lost in translation - that sense of "something wrong" in the title can be felt in the game as well.
Good opinions and I like your steam reviews, even if you have tranny vibes.
You ever find a game for your 'greater-than-4-people' group requirement? Now I'm having this issue.

Yeah so is mine, but I got really annoyed at trying to set up a dedicated server for it, no configuration for the damn thing worked correctly. It really does seem to be the only option other than Valheim. Cheers!

Yeah, my team is lucky we have a computer guy - our private server works great. No mods by the way, the vanilla experience is perfectly good.
