That's an interesting box art, but I like the <A href="http://www.rpgcodex.com/images/screenshots/lionheart/boxshot_us_large.jpg">original concept</a> much better. MMmmmm.. boobies.

I like that box art, looks good enough to catch the interest of casual gamers. A Knight Templar about to cut down a demokin by the looks of it.

I thought it was a bit bland, actually. It's basically a big, brown box, yellow text, and two guys fighting. If you're walking down an isle of games, there's really nothing there to catch your eye because it looks like the run of the mill, generic CRPG box. Those are mostly brown and yellow as well.

I'm not sure the subtitle adds much to it either.

Did you catch this in the list of features?

Eight major areas of the world contain over 80 levels that range from pure story and dialogue areas to pure combat challenges.

Levels? Thats an interesting choice of words.

It looks a little bland to me. I was hoping for something on a much grander scale, like the inquistiton or something in the backround, with maybe demons or something, I dont know! :!: I just hoped it would look different from other games  :(

The boobies were better... What gamer wouldn't read the back of that box?

Reflexive's mentality is stuck in "levels", which kind of translates into "shit design" to many people when it pertains to CRPGs.

Could you say that Fallout had "40 levels"? Not really.

I think it might have been a better idea to stick to the somewhat revealing box art, as it would be a saving grace in sales figures if it appeals to the little kiddies. At least someone would buy the game.

I'm not giving it any consideration since the Exocet font is a total bitch to read after a while.

I hate to admit my shallowness but boobies do catch my eye much more readily than the current design does. I think the publishers of Arx Fatalis made a big mistake changing the from the booby snake woman design of Europe to the amazingly innocuous glowing hands. While it's good to invoke curiousity in the buyer, I think the eye just naturally skips over that amazingly sedate cover design. It's too bad, really.

About 8 meters beneath sea level.
For some reason the box art reminds me of those really old atari and pc game boxes from the 80's.
They usually were full of fighting knights and dragons or with spaceships that exploded.
I think the box does look kinda neat but compared to the BG2 and Arcanum boxes it looks just a little bland and dated.
Then again, screw the box, it's the game that matters.

Most men will break their neck trying to turn to look at a nice rack, that's true. It's kind of funny that most women's magazines are filled with boobies too. The only thing different about Cosmo and Maxim is the amount of make up advertisements in them. ;)
