Tomorrow, Harbinger ships.

DreamCatcher Interactive Inc. today announced that it has shipped Harbinger for the PC in North America. Already garnering critical acclaim, the game signals a new direction for the Action/RPG genre. Harbinger is set in a dark world where death lurks on every corner, with 65 different enemies hiding across 70 different levels. Gamers take on the persona of a human, a robotic gladiator or the feminine Culibine; each with their own distinctive traits. The game features an intuitive interface and gamers can expect more than 75 hours of gripping game-play.

"It's been a while since the Action/RPG genre has had anything to be so excited about," said Richard Wah Kan, CEO of DreamCatcher. "We're confident that with Harbinger, we're giving fans something to look forward to."

From a technical perspective, the game excels, as it supports advanced particle affects, colored lighting and highly detailed, runtime anti-aliased characters. Harbinger also offers great value with an MSRP of $29.99 (USD).

$30 is a rather attractive price, at least to me.

30$ is pretty darn cheap for a new game. Of course, that means it'll have to be half as good as Neverwinther Nights to be worth the money :)

P.S. Is there a date for UK shipping?

From what I hear, prices in the US usually drops to 29.99 for all PC titles after 2-4 months.

In Europe, that never happens. Prices don't fall. I can go out to any store and grab a copy of Decent to Undermountain for 49.99. The only cheap games are the re-issues (you know "classic line" etc), and even those arn't very cheap. Never ever 10$ as in the US.

So while it IS nice for you with cheaper software, it's not that big a deal since you can get it cheap after a while anyway. And on a good year the que of games is about 3 months long anyway.

This game actually looks pretty crap to me. That, and I think it would sound much better if it was called Harbringer. A second 'r' just seems so much more natural to me.

Who really knows how its gonna be. I figure just wait until the reviews, or until the unbiased critics like Saint P come out and tell how the game is.

I'd go with anything fun.If it provides atleast 5 hours of solid and interesting action I'll get this game. Besides, its 30 bucks.Just that reminds me how many worthless games are sold for 50.And I really need something new and cool, its been a long time since Serious Sam was released.
