Vivendi Universial is contemplating at putting its Game unit on sale. This unit comprises numerous studios including - Blizzard Entertainment, Knowledge Adventure, Sierra Entertainment, Interplay and Universal Interactive which generates approximately $600 million dollars a year in revenue.

Vivendi is looking to gain 1.94 billion dollars from the sale which many analysts predict is unrealistic. There are numerous potential buyers for this unit ranging from Microsoft to Sony, to even EA. But as yet nothing has been announced and none of the companys have confirmed or denied their interest in the games unit. This is all speculation, but if it turns out to be true, could affect the PC industry quite substantially.
Of course, Blizzard Entertainment, Sierra Entertainment and Interplay, in the past have produced some of the best RPG's in history {And no, i'm not referring to Diablo}. How these company's will be affected with the sale is hard to say, but at any rate interesting times are soon to come.
