<p><a href="http://comic-con.gamespot.com/story/6270903/darkspore-germinating-at-comic-con" target="_blank">Gamespot</a> learned at the San Diego Comic-Con that BioWare is lending a helping hand on the Spore action RPG, <a href="http://www.darkspore.com/" target="_blank"><strong>DarkSpore</strong></a>.</p>
<blockquote>Who knew?: Maxis has been receiving help on Darkspore from fellow EA studio BioWare, which has its own established reputation in the action-RPG genre.</blockquote>
<p>While I've been told that BioWare knows what they're doing, surely a <a href="http://www.tacticularcancer.com/content.php?id=42" target="_blank">Japanese developer</a> would be better prepared to provide Maxis with what Spore fans really <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIRikkM98Qo&amp;feature=related" target="_blank">want to see</a>.<br /><br /><em>Thanks to Abelon Blanchetourbe for pointing this out</em></p>

Hey bro, we don't have any "obscure" tags here. Maybe you meant spoiler?

I hope you meant that to be 'funny' ; 'cause I'd rather you try to tell an unfunny joke than be an utter moran. Which is it?

It is possible that they are mainly streamlining the process of creation so that it appears logical to creationists and retards who cannot understand how genes work.

I like the idea.
Probably nice for some days of fun, especially with all the randomness of enemies.
Well... I hope they use the engine for that.

If they manage to add gameplay, it can only be better than Spore.

No one at Bio has ever had a Bio class *ba-dum tish*

Actually I doubt that Will Wright has either, his game wasn't actually about evolution. I don't really understand why Spore even exists, it was probably the most boring game I ever played.

The basic idea was good.
The problem was that it had all those phases, and each one of those just had no depth at all.
You could have made all of those phases more interesting, but.. they just didn't.
