The demo for <a href="http://nwn.bioware.com">Neverwinter Nights</a> has <i>finally</i> been released. It's <b>390MB</b>, and features the tutorial from the game. You can grab it at <A href="http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=1804">FileShack</a>.

The tutorial? I remember that. It was incredibly dull. Why couldn't they have done like the Warcraft III demo? Blizzard put the two training missions from the short orc campaign at the beginning of the full game but they also incloded three totally new, high-quality missions in order to show what the game can do. This shabby demo is especially inexcusable considering BioWare keeps bragging about how fucking wonderful the Aurora toolset is.

Yeah, I thought it was rather half assed too. The tutorial is just plain silly, especially when it constantly refers to the player's mouse and keyboard. Also, the whole, "This is how you level up" part of it was pretty stupid as well.

So much for immersion, eh?

I can't imagine how crappy that demo must be.
