With so many resident console owners here it's only fair if I don't spare you the dire news. The broBOX version of Wiedźmin 2 (best ARPG ever, problem?) will be delayed.

The console version of the RPG, which first launched back in May for PC via Namco Bandai, was originally due to release near the end of the year from THQ. Not to be, though.

CDP said the delay was down to giving more polish to the game, but also in regards to the company’s ongoing legal battle with Namco over the publishing of the 360 version.

“The extra time will allow us to polish the title to perfection, so that the game offers an ideally balanced, fantastic experience to gamers. As the launch of the game approaches, we will be sharing more details how it will be released on Xbox 360. I trust that despite the release date shift, players will be satisfied with what we are planning for them,” said studio boss Adam Kicinski.

CD Projekt also said it would show a video on “major DLC” that will form part of an “upcoming, as-yet-unannounced update” for the PC version at gamescom.

Thanks for using my line, VoD. As for the game being delayed here's hoping that it's to really add to the game in line for a Enhanced Edition release on the PC. Would makes sense if they are already working on an EE for the PC to delay the Xbawks version so it includes that content from the start and makes the best ARPG ever even more BEST!!

How much more Polish can it really be? Is the Xbawx version going to have even more potato?

Likely reason for this is the lawsuit from Namco. Can't imagine it is porting difficulties since it was an Xbox game to begin with.

"CD Projekt also said it would show a video on “major DLC” that will form part of an “upcoming, as-yet-unannounced update” for the PC version at gamescom."

- CD Projekt to show new Witcher excrement at Gamescom.

That should be the news headline not the console shit.

Methinks this is all about Skyrim and their unfamiliarity with the hardware which caused the initial delay.

You're better off playing online poker than buying stocks. Much more predictable.

The lawsuit could cause some serious pain in CDPR's nether regions, but the Optimus dudes are pros at 'em legal shanenigans. So worry not, them shares will go up rapidly once they publish The Witcher 2: Extra Potato edition and the original Xbawks version (the PC port seems to have been released for betatesting purposes  ).

There's nothing wrong with playing a game using the intended control scheme.

I'd play Twitcher 2 with a gamepad if I didn't find those things so uncomfortable...

That's what Jaesun was talking about.

As long as I can play the PC version with X360 pad, I'll be happy.

You can do that now.

There is nothing new about action RPGs and using controllers to play them and there is nothing new about using controllers to play non-action RPGs. The only negative trend, if you would call it that is how western RPG devs have become so limp wristed about releasing anything that isnt an action RPG. Its just western devs. The Japanese are still tossing TB games to the console folk.

What gets me is that the Japanese are better at action RPGs with Shemue, Way of the Samurai, and Demon Souls and the westerntards are no good at action RPGs.
