With the codex collective tongue stuck so deep up your asshole to the point of actually traversing your entire intestinal tract and falling out of your mouth, I would've expected it to praise Adolf Hitler and produce something wittier than a toddler-level comeback. Instead, all its activity is concentrated solely on pleasuring you, it seems.
Can somebody translate this into plain English for me? I don't speak Wannabeintellectual. Seems like Painintheass dialect.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Bubbles In Memoria
You're so far removed from the pussy, you don't even have friends who've seen a pussy? So you decide that women aren't suited for your needs and become a homosexual (build your own engine). Frankly, it's very telling that you've somehow come to the conclusion that writing your own engine is cheaper than dishing out $100k. This only happens if you (specifically you) cost nothing, because you're such an indie bum without any meaningful experience (despite 8 years of dicking around). This explains everything actually.
Gee, you must be fun at parties.
In Morgan Freeman's voice: "He was not, however, fun at parties"
Well, he's stuck in Russia, probably not many parties at the moment
I don't get it.
Is Russia "over" because he is in there?

I know some people got upset that there were colors in the piece of art near the start of the thread, but I think there should be more colors here. If this is supposed to be similar to pre-war Fallout, all the plants don't have to be dead and brown. Maybe it's supposed to be a run-down area where no one can afford a drop of water (or rain), but there are a bunch of cars in seemingly decent shape parked, and there's fairly high technology all over the houses.

If you ask me, it should lean more into the contrast between post-war Fallout and pre-war whatever this game will be called. All the colors are muted, giving the impression that it's all shades of brown and gray. If it's supposed to be in the autumn, well, that kind of squanders the contrast potential. Not like all vegetation goes brown in autumn, either way.

I mean, I've been working with Unity for about 8 years and there was always some sort of friction. I've also never met a dev who wouldn't experience such friction in Unity. It's a general-purpose engine, its submodules are designed certain way and despite the best effort, it's impossible to cover any and all use-cases devs face. I was told by other devs in NB that along the years, they even tried to get source code license from Unity on several occasions but, well, Unity's financial demands were quite... unholy, to put it lighly.

So about the game...
There's no game. They spent years writing the engine in Unity, then decided to switch to a custom engine mid development and start from scratch. With one person. Who can't code. If the game sees the light of day, it'll be in 10 years. This'll be bad timing, considering we will have been living in a Fallout setting for almost a decade. Though maybe it'll cheer us up, considering the color palette choice.

Don't want to sound grumpy but Bester is right though, the codex has the tendency to praise devs they like similarly to a deity that it's becoming ridiculous.

So far, there is nothing, no alpha, no release date, no beta, not even a demo, just concept arts, and Unity (short) scenes I guess. That's it.

Exactly. No track record = no special treatment (if ever). I remember there was a guy, nickname Nixon IIRC, allegedly owner of a furniture store who kickstarted a campaign for yet another Fallout clone and the forum (not this one) public was ecstatic. On what I was like - what the fuck?

Bro he is getting kool codex ratings like crazy, even though he has nothing to show.

The Daggerfall successor has more chance releasing than this concept art of the game, and that's saying something.

Who gives a damn. I'm still waiting for The Tangut Prophecy. It's going to come out any day now.

It's quite amusing to watch people who have absolutely no way of knowing about internal affairs of development to always have crystal clear idea or opinion on them and selling them to others as facts. No pun intended to neither of you guys though. I guess it's human nature after all.

I came here to answer some questions for those interested, and I'll continue to do that if the interest persists. I reposted one screenshot that was actually originally posted by our CEO on Twitter just so that those few interested wouldn't miss it. I'm not trying to sell you anything. Truth be told, I give two shits whether you guys ever buy our game or not, I'm getting paid anyway, and quite handsomely if I may brag a notch, so your attempted uncovering of my hidden motives and evil plans for world dominance are a bit absurd from where I'm standing. But feel free to continue if you like to waste your time, as I said, there's at least the amusement value in it.

Difference is Richard Nixon made one lap of scamming with After Reset on the Kickstarter and then he tried couple of times after that.

No scam in this case - no broken promises, no money taken. So based on formula no track record - no special treatment, there should be no hostility either.
