What game? So far there is nothing. It's a vaporwave.
Well, I guess you are entitled to your opinion, even if you know absolutely nothing about the matter. Maybe this might come as a bit of surprise to you but the world actually doesn't spin around your head and the fact that you have not seen something yet doesn't mean it doesn't exist. But please, do keep trying to convince me otherwise.

Yeah for me my main issue with JRPG style combat is the removal of space as a factor. I think the spatial element of cRPG combat is more important than anything else.
I agree with you and this opinion is very vocal on a team. Again, I can't speak of details but let's just say things have been moving positively in this regard.
You are supposed to answer him by showing actual gameplay. No one is going to give you the benefit of the doubt. We've seen so many projects from people who only had cool ideas on paper and a few renders.

Remember the game Bourgeoisie? You can probably find the concept art on NMA. It was a promising Fallout clone that ended up as a crappy first-person shooter. There are so many Kickstarter scams, especially when it comes to RPGs. After the debacle of Realms Beyond, I’ve decided never to give my money to any indie team on Kickstarter again.

On this forum, you can even find discussions about some 8-bit C64 game—I forgot the name, and it doesn’t deserve remembering—that cashed in on old nerd nostalgia. Yet another kickstarter scam.

Even when, by some miracle, a Fallout-inspired clone gets released, it’s rarely stellar. You get trash like Krai Mira, or okay-but-not-quite-there games like ATOM or age of decadence, which are still far below Fallout’s standard. Then there are disappointments like Encased, which falls off hard after the first act.

Right now, you’re still at the stage of “guys with cool ideas on paper.” Unless you have alpha keys for us to try, you’re not convincing anyone.
speak for yourself faggot, plenty of people here have already given the benefit of the doubt. didnt read the rest of your retarded shit ;)

I'm not supposed to do anything, except for keeping some basic professional decency and not sharing internal material from my employer without permission.

See, that's where this construct of yours falls apart - I am not convincing anyone of anything.
Then, come back when you have a game buttercup, so far your game is Vaporwave, period.

No? You’re not trying to convince anyone? You’re not here to announce an upcoming Kickstarter? That’s odd—most indie devs come here for that and never discuss anything else anymore.

So, I guess you’re here to hang out with an easygoing, not-too-critical, friendly crowd like the one we have at RPGCodex, expecting some praise?

You can’t share any gameplay videos due to corporate restrictions—I get it. But if things are so strict over there, are you sure your employer is okay with you posting here? You know you risk being blacklisted everywhere because of this, right?

Yeah, exactly, so some codexers will not afford you treatment better than any other 'dev' come here, full of piss and vinegar, to spin yarn about the cool rpg they're making. Some of us have seen it one time too many to fall for it, no matter how many others choose to ride that hypetrain high. Until you or your studio have something to show for your efforts you don't get to mouth off about us 'knowing absolutely nothing about the matter' because for all intents and purposes we've seen ten thousand of your like come and go.

Great, another douchebag dev who thinks he is king.

I give two shits whether you guys ever buy our game or not
Then fuck off, and see you in a few years begging for a job after your narcissistic ass got fired for causing some stupid drama at your workplace.

Another Victor Pflug in the making?
Ah, so instead of studying my motives, we're fortune-telling now. So many free services in this place, I don't even deserve that, you're so good to me.

I'll give you a tip, instead of responding to superficial insults by pretending to be a hard-ass, respond to the underlying question/issue instead, or at least be funny. You're doing neither.

Your first post started out like this:

It's me. It's been a while since I stumbled upon these parts, sorry. If you have any questions, feel free to ask

But then you felt the need to play a hard-ass by responding to all the retards (sans me). So yes, at this point your motives are questionable.

It's not my problem that some of you are so close-minded and pathologically paranoid that your heads are incapable of comprehending that somebody can just come here to talk about a game, one that is privately funded, and that that someone is paid a normal salary for the work on it so there is no interest or motivation in decepting anyone into any action that would involve spending money.

And yes, I felt that need. It's in my nature. There's an Ignore list if you find it detrimental.

Well, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Just another asshole dev after all.

Also, it's spelled deceiving.

After being constantly attacked with allegations and even outright insults, I end up being an asshole. Well, that is life I guess.

Use your head for a bit. "They can't understand that I just want to talk about this game that I'm currently the lead developer on."

I don't know if you're just stupid or incredibly optimistic.

They will never put you on the Ignore List. They think they are smart, badass and cool and they'll pester this thread with their baby cries for eternity.

And don't think you can make them reason or understand some logic and politeness. They are too much smart to understand politeness and good manners in discussions.

Do you know what lead developer role means in New Blood Interactive? I would reckon you do not. Then why are you drawing any conclusions from it?

What does it mean?
Well, I take it you associate the term with project owner/lead from indie projects and kickstarters. Not the case here. New Blood is quite flat in structure, but there is higher management, production and marketing overseeing projects. My responsibility is technology in this project, that's it.

Why are you drawing conclusions about my drawn conclusions?

Not for a second did I think you were the owner of anything, hence my comment about you getting fired hopefully and soon.

You probably missed I wasn't addressing you when I said that. But enlighten me, why did you put lead developer in bold then? Concluding what else than the conclusions that were already posted here?
