But enlighten me, why did you put lead developer in bold then? Concluding what else than the conclusions that were already posted here?

Just saw your edit. Dude, do you really think that if you talk about your game here people will NOT assume that you're shilling it? It's like a Jehovah's Witness just wanting to talk to me about god.

It's just common sense. Especially on the codex. You are right to say that people here are paranoid and quick to pull out the pitchforks. But it's like Ryzer said you are not the first pretend good samaritan and we've seen our fair share of shady characters.

Why do you even feel the need to talk about your game here? Like, what do you want? I just skimmed the thread but maybe you can clarify that.

So after all, you did draw that conclusion. But alright, enough ball busting. In all seriousness, no, I did not assume that. Apparently my common sense doesn't involve prejudices that are common around here, guilty as charged.

And to your question, there's a very simple answer, and you don't even have to take my word, just go to page 8 and read what I wrote there yourself. I stumbled upon this forum after like 2 years - edit: I'm lying, I responded in Van Buren thread around June. I went to this thread because I used to watch it before, especially around PCGamer Show where NB teased the game couple of times and news about it appeared here, along with comments (note that I never interacted here before, afair anyway). There is a lot of feedback for free from forums like this, you know. Despite the bitter attitude of some fine gentlemen here, most have a good taste in games and their feedback is more valuable to me than from an average Starfield enthusiast. Anyway, the last few messages stated the project might be dead. Fair conclusion, given there were no public updates for a long time (because the game was not even officially announced yet). So I went in and said that the game is still being developed, for those who care, and that I actually know about it because I'm from the inside. Had I not mentioned that second part, I assumed I'd end up being a bullshitter as much as I'm ending up being an asshole now. Then, people had further questions, I tried to answer them. And then your lot came, a lot of bad words were said, and here we are. That is the whole story.

I see, so it was really just Bester and to a lesser degree Ryzer who were giving you shit. Fair enough. Seems like you were just answering questions that the other guys had about the game. I only looked at the last couple posts and you were accused of shilling and came across like an asshole in your responses. Apparently that wasn't the case.

The game looks good, I hope it captures the roleplaying depth of the 2D Fallouts and has a kick-ass soundtrack as well. The visuals you seem to already to have down.

I think it's only fair to give as much shit as you take, so I did act like an asshole, you're not wrong there. Anyway, thanks. And about soundtrack, you can refer to this post, there is a short preview of an original composition for the game from Aleksey Trofimov, a.k.a. Nobody's Nail Machine.

Honestly, even if all that comes out of this topic are some beautiful mockups of what would be a game with Fallout-style graphics, it's already a win for me. If the Codex can spend 700+ pages crying and moaning about Veiguard without even having played it (at least those who still have the sanity to not do that), then what's the problem with spending 50+ pages on a beautiful vaporware and imagining how cool it would be?

What engine are you using?

Is the combat strictly turn-based?

Will there be a party, and do you control all characters if so?

Yeah, I don't get it. Whether this is vapourware or not, it's not like we lose anything by keeping an eye out on this thread.

Unity, Wizardry style party combat (not set in stone), based on everything else one would assume so but I doubt you can control them they'll probably just follow you around.
