A game idea that I have been playing with in my head.

A single/multiplayer rpg experience taking place in a smallish area the size of one town with surroundings. Different win conditions apply depending on server settings, all with multiple solutions. Also possible to play without any win conditions.

Players will get levels at the start depending on server settings, for a singleplayer run you could start at level 1 (or 20 if you want), for a multiplayer game you could start at level 20 if you are alone or level 5 if you are playing in a group of 4. (not sure about this yet since people will just circumvent it anyway, but this is how the idea got rolling in the first place so i include it)

The setting I am thinking of is fantasy, but a game like this could be made in a lot of settings, Like a South-American town with cartels, guerillas and the army on the outskirts.

The town and its surroundings are at the start of the game in a delicate balance which the player(s) can disrupt. The dragon for example has a deal with the town for daily livestock, you can convince the Lord of the town to annul the agreement or otherwise sabotage the deal prompting dragon attacks on the town, convince the dragon that he should demand virgins instead, angering the townspeople and the elves.
Currently I am working on the underground portion of the map, where players would go to level.

Ideally I would want a lot with this game, playable lizards and elves, being able to settle down as a farmer or blacksmith, fully destructable environment, developed first and foremost for vr (fuck balance) and very purdy grafx.

This whole game is still a very vague idea in my head though.

Any thoughts?

A Unity demo where two people can log in at the same time and make identical characters in a permanent T-pose run around a castle you got for free on the asset store is worth a thousand brainstorming sessions on the interwebs.

Even before that, a playable PnP prototype can often help see whether it can work or not.

Okay so you level up by making others happy.

every living being in the gameworld has a happiness rating or haprat or whatever. when you increase another beings happiness rating you get double the amount of happiness back over time.

The above is actually part of a very different game about which I will post now itt because I do not want to make a new thread for it.

A VR porn game which centers around genetic manipulation and the ethical treatment of all that lives.

Not really a porn game but you wield living penises and everything has been genetically designed by humans. I think you people know humans, think giant hairless spiders with tits and such.
