What are some examples of Czech humo(u)r?
I don't get it
Awsomely indecent humor on the Nazzi note. Made by Czech people "but shooting into their own ranks" if you catch my drift. You see, Czech's "greatest" national injury is that of being constantly attacked and/or annexed by the Germans. Think of the Česká soda gig as a Czech version of even more indecent South Park. Take for example the "Let's learn vocabulary" part. The superficially smiling, ludicrously German-looking Czechs make you learn the German words like, citing, "40, 1940, clean, white, clean up, blood-stains, clean race, clean race, clean race..." And you know, a the WWII Hitler saw us very close to the Jews - in the terms of hating that is. He really disdained the Slavic people, and it showed very roughly in the Czech lands throughout the years 1939-1945. The jokes ins the gig are a borderline fashism propagation, taking no pardon in anything whatsoever. For me it's hillariously improper. For people who lived through the war - probably not so much. They've actually lived all the things in the video and more for real.
Last but not least - the word "soda" is the same as in baking soda. Yes, the *white* stuff :D:D :D Also, we use this word in the street talk to describe something that made a heavy impact or something not to be triffled with. So, you see, even the name of the gig is sort of an improper joke. You know, something like stating "we're the badasses, don't mess with us". Dude, they really were badasses doing such shows back in the day.
They say explaining the joke is even worse than not understanding it, but I tried my best. Hope you like it at least a bit :-]
