Yikes, it has been a while since I read that article. I believe the first time I read it I took it all as sarcasm, but then again my taste in humor is a little cracked (.com). Regardless about what might come off as insults and self-hate, there are quite a few nuggets of information sprinkled through this dense article. However, I do agree that the one Jaeson posted is better written (consequently it was also the first article about CRPGs I read back in 2009 aside from a gamedev.net thread called "Hit Points that aren't hits").

Ah, well. At least it seems no one had heard of this Moby Games article before.
