Piqued my interest only for me to become suspicious because there is no space between the colon and the article.

I'm not an English speaker so I used a translator and I've been using a translator to view this site. I came here to ask because there are a lot of core players here. I apologize if it caused confusion.

Oh, I realize you're talking about the spaces in the title of this game. Yes, even a non-native English speaker like me noticed that. It was a less than professional mistake.

Make the Codex Great Again!
Based on Steam comment, it has mechanic where your health drains until you heal or sleep.
Not in for a survival popamole, so skip.

Yeah it's a hard pass for me too because of strange design decisions. Shame as some of the ideas sound good.
I'm trying to find some indie crpgs, do you have any recommendations? I like games like fallout and underrail
Tried ATOM RPG?

I find it even funnier when you look at the latest news, the game is being called Age of Reforging or Age of Reforger depending on the mood of the developer.
It's obviously Chinese AI slop shitgame.

I don't know how familiar you are with the genre. But if you want my advice, don't go for hottest indie slop. Go for the classics you haven't played yet. It's foolproof plan.

Have you completed Arcanum and Prelude to Darkness?

Not yet. tbh, I'm just a newbie to rpgs and after playing a few crpgs in the last two years, I've thoroughly enjoyed the category.
I read your post and searched for this game. I have to say the art style of this game is AWESOME, I love the dark style.

Thanks to your pertinent advice, I've decided to give up on my stupid idea. There are indeed a lot of classic games I haven't played yet. May I ask which classic rpg you recommend the most?

Realms of Arkania HD.
It looks great. Only the reviews are mixed. btw, I replied to your picture with a reply to the word the women of Planet Amazon said to Fry. Just kidding with you, but the reviewers probably thought it was too vulgar and it didn't go through.

Clearly this is a B-grade game along the lines of stuff like Zoria, Black Geyser etc.. Yet 15 hours in, I feel like this this one of the better ones among them.

One big potential turn-off is that the majority of the text (perhaps even all of it?) was obviously machine translated into English. But you understand the meaning behind everything without much hassle if you possess a working brain. The only time were I thought it could negatively impact the experience was a riddle filled side quest, but to my surprise I believe the Dev took extra care in order to have that quest's texts specifically polished. At least that was my impression.

In regards to the mentioned Health mechanic

I believe the confusion stems from an unfortunate translation. HP and Health are two distinct, yet interwoven mechanics. If you played any Tabletop RPGs really, you should instantly recognize this mechanic though, as it is present in many games from among that sphere.
What it boils down to essentially is that HP is how well you are doing right this second/combat, while Health is your bodily long-term well being.
The idea behind it is that even though Healing magic and potions do exist, your body can only be cut up into pieces, burned and maimed so often until your body gives in and you need time to recuperate.

TTRPG examples that come to mind are Strain from Worlds Without Number or Healing Surges from 4e, Recoveries from Draw Steel.
While prevalent mostly in TTRPGs, it's nothing new for CRPGs either, for example think of Jagged Alliance's Health system where you have to rest/get treated by your Medic in order to refill the full potential of your HP bar. Would you call Jagged Alliance survival popamole too? :p

There are always 3 games, that no matter how many fucking time we have a voting thread/poll here they are always the top 3. And there is a reason for that.

Fallout
Arcanum
Planescape: Torment

Pick one of those, or all of them, and you will be on your way to a good time.

P.S. Bloodlines is fucking awesome. But not everyone likes it. Fuck those guys. Just play it. It's awesome.
