It's a lot of trouble to go through, not that the state of its emulation probably didn't help not convince them.

Jak 1 runs fine on latest nightlies. (Of course, Port will be logically superior by default)

This is also done by multiple PCSX2 contributors themselves.

Maybe this effort by the dedicated fans on PC will show to Sony that there remains some interest in this IP. Then we might get a reboot by the talent behind the acclaimed hit The Last of Us Part II.
