Not very high, dude seems somewhat sober.

I gotta ask how how are you then?

He looks like a used hammer salesman trying to sell me a lemon.

"Now this hammer was owned by an elderly grandmother who never used it except to smash onions and turnips for her stew. It's a real bargain!"

Man, you've just ruined the character, at least for me.

the generic mooks in the game look too similar to each other. i think its really important for ranged and melee units to be instantly recognizable in a strategy game. archers should wear different hats (like robin hood hats or hoods or leather caps) than spear or sword guys and quivers that stick out from the back so you can tell them apart by their silhouettes instead of by their internal features which is kind of hard when the game has such muted colors and small sprites. if that's too expensive of a change, maybe a small color adjustment to the pauldrons like a white band or making the xbow a brighter shade of brown would do the trick too.

Thank you for your feedback, 2 points to consider:

1. This is zoomed out all the way, and overview of sorts. Normal zoom will be twice closer, so you'll be able to see better.
2. This faction is the only one with a standing army, thus they look alike, other factions are not so uniformal.
3. Ranged units do hold bows or crossbows in their hands, so it is somewhat easy to tell they are ranged.

However we will be testing all this in beta and if the issue does arise - we'll work on making the weapons more distinguishable from the characters' models.

We continue to work with blood and attacks / taking damage animations. Different types of attacks leads to different tupes of reactions and blood spatter.

Do you think something is missing?

Do u need music? I can make music for ur game for $8000 per song

We are covered with music - it is being created by Adam Scorupa, a polish composer that worked on the music for Witcher 1 and other games, you can find in this thread http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/music.113280/

This is the ready-to-print model of Dorphal, the reaper. That is the last physical lot that we are preparing for our KickStarter campaign.

Next week, the very first master-models will be printed, which later will be painted manually. Would you like to get such a statue?

With most of the characters' art ready we've started to go over them, adding shadows and depth. The first one we've finished is Hopper Rouly, one of the protagonists of the game. The previous iteration (on the left) lacks shadows, that's why the hero looked implausible.

A wandering chronicler, healer and baron without a title is the little that is known about Houper Rowley. The events that he witnesses are recorded in a special book written on some secret language — probably, therefore, some consider him a sorcerer.

One on the right looks blurry. On the left is better.

I don''t think it's blurry, it has shading added.

Here is a new character - Drukket. Skillful and loyal warrior, a connoisseur of wine and women, a grandee without arrogance. Closed and laconic, according to some people he's hiding a big secret.

Does he remind you of someone?

I love the scale of those little guys! My only complaint would be that there is a certain lack of urgency.

Well, the idea that it's a siege that has been going on for a while, so this bombardment is just a tedious job at this point for these guys.

Yeah, that's how I interpreted it, but I was skeptical that that would be the right mood when it's actually used in game in a high-stakes battle. :)

so did you really mo-cap a trebuchet in your studio? isn't likely, but awesome if you really have a trebuchet

No (would have been nice to have a mini trebuchet), it's just that our animator, Yuri, got really excited about the trebuchet and spent some serious amount of time on it.
aw lame, still awesome animation tho

Dozens of references, hundreds of edits, endless suffering artists and the final version of global map is finally here! I have already shown a couple of WIPs among our Kickstarter updates but now I would like you to admire it in all its beauty:

Does it looks worthily among other fantasy worlds?

We wanted more of a historically accurate look, so we went for a leather map, and it does look good, but the readability is an issue, but we will work further to improve it by trying different fonts and contrast options.
You could add more color to it. It's pretty monotone brown.

There's no reason a leather map couldn't be drawn with red, blue, or green ink in places, or even with gold like an illuminated manuscript.

Well, when you hover your coursor over a path - it will highlight like this, it should make it more legible:

There is a lot of awesome spell and ability effects but I would like to start with this one since I like it a lot. That's healing effect. What do you say?
