Well, there are mods that make you sink if you wear heavy armour when trying to swim. Realistic yes, but not very fun, since it only affects the PC. NPCs would probably drown en masse, since they AFAIK can't be modded to not swim in heavy armour.

also if you look carefully the pony exhibit in the witcher section has a poorly drawn half wolf's amulet tattoo on the butt and witcher throwing knives bandoleer at the front and geralt style wrist-crosshide things

That pony is Twilight Sparkle, and she doesn't have a tattoo on the flank but a cutie mark.

Actually, there are some autistic mods that add a "food system" and a "hygiene system" to morrowind.

Funny thing. GURPS: Fallout actually put personaly quirks into fucking gameplay mechanics.
I've read a Vault 15 design document and it had mechanics for stuff like fear of height, and phobia (darkness).
Even funnier thing. Phobias (and low tolerance/weakness to X) were actually implemented in Daggerfall. But hey who needs this "gameplay mechanics" bullshit? There's only me and my imagination and neither of us cares.

my biggest gripe was that Fallout 3 had an ending
I mean how can a bethesda game have an ending? Its good that they acknowledge
that players DON'T like an end to their gaming and admit their mistake in that decision.
Thank goodness they confirm skyrim can continue play after main quest.

Not in particularly interesting way, tbh, just a penalty to hit against certain type of creatures, iirc.

HEY IRONWOLF56, GET YOUR OWN NAME RATHER THAN MINE WITH A 56 ON THE END!

When you signed up it told you the name was taken. Rather than properly choose a new one you just put two numbers on the end.

That's about as low as I have ever seen.

A true story:
http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments ... fe_thanks/
I got into online gaming at about 11. It started with some casual Quake, Warcraft, and the like. Then it was MMOs, specifically Ultima. Unlike the social ladders, there were very clear metrics by which I could determine my own success and worthiness. Improvement in these metrics led to recruitment.

Rising through the ranks of clans, ladders, and guilds, I realized I had a knack for strategy. I could hop on ICQ, gather up some friends, and go raid the stronghold of an opposing guild. People started looking to me for guidance. I could detail a plan of attack, and people would listen.

I could lead a fucking army.

In a matter of about 4-5 years, I went from the borderline suicidal fat kid to a leader in my school and community. Now I’m in my twenties and my job puts me in rooms with some serious alpha-type VP level guys that don’t know shit about digital strategy (or asking for help.) The confidence and interpersonal skills I gained from a lifetime of online gaming are not only an asset in my work, they may have literally saved my life.

http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments ... heres_why/
I think the comments are an excellent indicator of where the gaming community is right now.
My name is Galste, I am 24 years old and I love Call of Duty.
I want to discuss something that has to do with the CoD vs. BF thing that I feel is very important for some individuals to understand or at least to try and understand: comparing the two games is completely ineffective.

Let me explain:

* MW3 is indeed a game for casuals. Call it "casual trash" if you like.
* It has (a lot) less focus on teamwork than BF3.
* It requires less skill and less tactical play than BF3.
* The graphics are not nearly as good as in BF3.
* Static environments.
* Little to no innovation and/or new features between titles.

And the list goes on.

What I'm trying to show here, is that if you take all of the aspect and features of both games (MW3 and BF3) and compare them, BF3 wins in almost every category.
Surprisingly however, some people still prefer to play CoD!
In fact, there are more people who prefer CoD over BF.

How is it possible? Becasue The whole is more than the sum of its parts.
People find CoD to be more fun, and when the "fun" factor comes in, everything else is completely irrelevant.

I don't care that BF3 requires more skill.
I don't care that BF3 is more tactical.
I don't care if you say it's "casual trash" and I'm "bad at video games" if I prefer CoD.
I don't care if you think that CoD requires less thinking and therefore it "attracts stupider people".

I don't care about any of this.
Because CoD is just more fun to me.
And that's what matters.

I am absolutely willing to pay $60-90 every year for a game that gives me over 400 hours of immense satisfaction.
And yes, I think having a new 6 hour campaign, 15 new maps, new perks, guns, balance changes, etc. completely justifies paying another $60.

For me, and frankly for any CoD gamer out there, $60 a year is nothing, NOTHING compared to the hours of fun it provides despite the little differences with every new title.

So please, Reddit, just because I'm having more fun playing an inferior title doesn't necessarily mean I'm a dumb 12 year old.
It means I can find enjoyment in places you cannot.

Deal with it.

Thank you for reading :)

Call of Duty: Black Ops ProGaming Glasses

When there is no time to blink, you need performance optics. The Call of Duty: Black Ops ProGaming Glasses enhance the visual experience for the most demanding gamers. Whether playing on console or PC, GUNNAR advanced gaming eyewear improves your overall gaming experience and delivers the optical clarity required to focus on mission-critical objectives.
Fractyl Lens Geometry

By focusing light, the computer designed lens shape helps augment screen detail. The curvature of the lens traps in moisture and blocks out air currents to help reduce the need for blinking during intense game action.

ioNIk Lens Tint

By amplifying or attenuating the amount of energy allowed to pass to the eye, GUNNAR's lab technicians have fine-tuned the Call of Duty: Black Ops ProGaming Glasses for optimal gaming performance.

http://www.amazon.com/FPS-Freek-Prestig ... d_sim_vg_1

The FPS Freek Prestige was created for first-person shooter fans that desire the winning edge and want to flaunt their kill ratios to the world. A perfect complement to your arsenal, the FPS Freek Prestige easily snaps on to both first-party controllers and the new, third-party Black Ops editions. And just like our critically-acclaimed FPS Freek, you'll never want to take them off! By increasing the length of the thumb-sticks slightly, precision and aim is improved dramatically.

A 40% increase in range of motion lets you make smaller adjustments and be able to hit targets much faster. This gives you the advantage of turning up controller sensitivities and getting the jump on your adversaries. The greater leverage also offers you better control and less exertion-alleviating thumb-fatigue and adding more comfort during marathon gaming sessions.

In short, this increased accuracy and decreased thumb-fatigue results in higher kill counts. In ultra-competitive games like Call of Duty, you'd be crazy to play without the FPS Freek Prestige! FPS Freek Prestige is an absolute must for snipers and users of any long-to-medium range weapon.

Also works great in games like: * Modern Warfare 2 * Battlefield: Bad Company 2 * Call of Duty: Black Ops * Halo: Reach * Medal of Honor * Fallout: New Vegas
