Nevertheless, the deconstruction is very solidly done.

Not really.

And it's all true. :smug:

The Codex strikes fear into the hearts of popamole console gamers.

Fuck, even skimming through that was painful.

I don't expect consoletards to be able to play Daggerfall effectively, but stop blaming your own retardation on the game, and drop the attitude ("You call that a door?"; "How dare you not have the decency to give me a quest compass?").

Checl the tabs to the right. He also gets lost in the LotR Jrpg for the gameboy, and gives up right after the Willow tree part (that is, 10 minutes into the game)

You know, every time I see a bunch of people on a different forum bitching about the 'Dex, I imagine that there's one poster that checks out the site, and agrees with the Codex's principles.

Also, why is bitching about the Codex such a hobby on other sites?

That's a hopeful thought. In the grim ocean of derp, RPG Codex is a shining beacon in the distance. :salute:

Then again it has downsides. Awful lot of JRPG, anime, and pony lovers around here. Few too many undesirables if you ask me. :rpgcodex:

The guy just cannot into the fact that saying you like something isn't an automatic community inclusion pass here, not that one exists of course.

His preemptive fear of being 'flamed or trolled' for saying that here is just as bad as forums who caution you if you don't post in said threads going AWWW YEAA I FEEL DAT 2 SON GIMME YO LIMIT BREAK ;)
also

RPG Codex is the forum that hates on everything that isn't a WRPG made in the 90s, right? (Except Beyond Good and Evil, which they seem to like).

This post is proof of the hive mind. You think of everyone on that forum (which I've never heard of; I'm not defending it) as a single being. Just like here. You "like" whatever the general consensus is.

the reply:

Do you have a point or...?

That is my point. Keep being a follower, brosef.
Okay, so your point is that you have no point.

Good.

say what you like about the codex, at least people here generally have enough self-respect to not use the 'whatever' style argument

you just got ninja'd baby

Gotta say the insecure backlash against such "elitism" is pretty silly. Folks so thin-skinned they take offense just because someone doesn't like something they do, resulting in defensive posturing and the need to have the pejorative last word.

There's nothing insecure about backlash against elitism.

Thin skin-ness runs deep in elitism aswell so that's a two way road.

that's like saying people with brians are thin-skinned versus homeopathy

bro if it helps consider that I am referring to people and not the titular subhumanz hell yeah remember folks always have an out

Yeah, kinda like back then when starcraft fans were going out of their way to rag on total annihilation. what, the market isn't big enough for them? it's not like TA ate into their comp stomp bandwidth and is being an active threat to them getting brood wars or someshit

or when jeff vogel specifically makes a blog post saying how much he doesn't care about rpg codex's opinions but he's in a good mood so he'll just humor us huehaeuheauheahueauheue

How can biotards believe ME's writing is a tier above a Michael Bay film unless the only media they have ever been exposed to is ME and a Michael Bay film?

If TW2 can be RPG why God of War can't?
Every game is role playing game because you play the role of a character.

Did anyone check wikipedia's page about role playing games? It's both hilarious and sad. Somewhat biased on the Japanese side, I'd say.
