Why restrict them that way when they allow dragons to attack towns and make big changes to the economy or whatever the hell they promised? Giant attacks is verboten? I thought this was a radiant game with radiant ai

seriously don't tell me how immersive your shit is when giants next to a town are scripted not to attack it or even to follow some asshole who has been stabbing them there to sort him out

Or are dragon attacks wiping out towns a lie and the townspeople always just go inside houses in time anyway and wait for you to awesome it to death

These are scripted events (But WHEN it happens might be random) Named NPC sometimes do get in the way (They'll watch the fight) but I haven't seen them die by one of it's bombardment attacks.

One time (Mage Headquarters) a dragon attacked and I killed it on the roof by an arrow.. My response was.. 'Yeah.. Now how'm I gonna ge' up there' I did find a way.. But.. Dragon end up dying in the strangest locations.

The 'finishing move' is killer.. A fight with a dragon started and I ran up to it.. I gave it ONE slash and suddenly I jumped onto the dragons neck (I could not control the event though) and started slashing away.. This was a 1 sided, instant kill, fight.

I just encountered a random dragon attack in Riverwood, which was simply epic! I was wandering around, all of a sudden the music kicked in. I was like WTF, are the guards after me for something? I have never committed a crime. Then BAM! This frost dragon lands right on the house in front. Scared the crap outta me. It was my first encounter too, so it got me by surprise. Good thing it came to a town, all the guards helped me kill it. Free dragon soul. =)

You know, putting the previous two galleries together I have the feeling that some npcs are procedurally generated with names and template affiliation/dialog trees in towns. Will probably respawn back to full population after a week or something anyway.

I would never recommend Deus Ex to any RPG fan, ever! mainly because its a shooter, and FPS with an RPG level system (which almost every game has these days)
Mass Effect 2 was more of an RPG, I much prefered ME1 but between the two i'd still vote for ME2, i've got 5 complete playthroughs across 2 systems on that game..

That's right folks ME2 is more of an RPG than Desu EX (note that he's talking about the first games as well).
