I have been playing it for the last 3 days and it sucks. Can't stand it anymore, so I'm taking it back to the store. Now before I do that, is there any chance that I missed something cool? Took the wrong turn? Does anyone here like it?

Hey VD, why does it suck? I've been thinking of purchasing the game but I'm cautious ever since the horrible demo. I thought they said they actually fixed it up.

I don't have enough time for a long post so here is a short version:

If you didn't like the demo, it's very, very likely you aint gonna like the game. Art is bad, and i don't mean the graphics. The original Diablo had a much better feel. Deathknight looks retarded. I wish there were some options there. "Tactical" combat sucks. I tried the battlefields: fucking boring. Four or so stripes of land with dungeons in the middle. I went into the first dungeon, everything looks the same, and has the same monsters (lvl 2 skeletons), but truckloads of them. Then I reached the dungeon boss, who was lvl 12, and killed him easily. He was tough, but I had plenty of potions that restore health instantly unlike D2 ones, so that was boring. A few quests that I encountered on my way were boring as well, typical fedex stuff. There are bugs: one dungeon is empty, and my small hammer (one-handed, crashing) doesn't get any bonuses from one handed crashing skill. Some items do, some don't. The skill system is ok, but nothing special.

Well, like I said, I hope I missed something or was very, very close to something fun and cool, but went to investigate the battlefileds instead and got really turned off.

Act 2 onwards is quite a bit different. I'd at least give Act 2 a fair go before giving up.

I've got a review that should go up next week and I don't want to prejudice that before I've actually finished the game, however...BD does a fair number of things wrong - some badly, some just irritating, so I wouldn't really argue with anyone who doesn't like it. If you hated the basic gameplay in DivDiv this is unlikely to win you over. I disliked most of the first Act but the second onwards becomes more open DivDiv-like (although not *as* open). The action-RPG level-treadmill ph4t-l3wt thing became addictive (for me) with the slightly clunky combat model was balanced by interactivity and more interesting quests than most action-RPGs.

Oh, I did one Battlefield level and left it at that. Won't bother with more.
