Just played two matches against RKs pro elven team. Lost one, won the other. But RK got two double rolls on skillups for his blitzers. Say hello to side-stepping, blodging guard heaven...

Still, was fun. My orcs didn't impress me, but at least I got a single skillup for mighty blow on a blitzer..

I tossed a few balls with Pro Elves, good god, these guys are great. Too bad the RRs are pricey and the players cost a lot to purchase.
Still struggling to buy a catcher with the pitiful gold. But I got both Blitzers to doubles in 4 matches. Good stuff. Blodge Guards here I come!

Azira - get 2 x M.Blowers and suddenly the SPP will flow. I'll be sure to avoid your team when that happens.

In lrb4, where big guys couldn't use regular rerolls at all, I'd take pro before block. In lrb6, I'd take pro if I was lucky enough to roll doubles twice.

Block works in the opponents turn as well. Plus it assists in the big guys main duty, IE absorbing blocks on the LoS

I've been thinking, I hardly use Cheerleaders and Assistant Coaches. Are they even worth anything?

In at least one of your games having 2 of them did help you to tie for an extra roll, you rolled a one versus their 3; that said, I think your TV would be better served by acquiring an additional player in place of CL and AC because humans are moderately squishy.

Personally, I rarely bother. Except sometimes when one of my best players on a team gets injured I fire him; buy an ass.Coach and say he joined the coaching staff.

Ulminati confirmed as a larper; also is this http://bbtactics.com/forums/assistant-coaches-cheerleaders-t1209/#post19737 you?

Hi guys, I'm as impatient as you are, but currently the season is still in the process of finalizing the tier grouping.
As I've mentioned before there will be four qualifying groups with eight teams each, top two will advance to the playoffs.

I didn't count how many teams are signed up currently but here's the list:

Random team highlights:

Looking at their roster - they are definitely a high tier team with a seasoned coach.
Roster Highlights:
2x STR4 Blitzers
1x AG4 Thrower with Fend, Accurate, Block, Nerve of Steel

Currently highest TV team in the league:

Enlist a player called 'Oven'. Then spend the entire match blitzing Sylvia Plath with them.

If it works, it'll be worth it.

I always have that problem too with Blood Bowl. Just never seem to get any doubles. Think I did an LP here at some point, lot of matches in, zero doubles.

Oh well.

1400tv and below race make up:
Underworld x2
Chaos x1
Orc x3
Skaven x2
Chaos dwarf x3
Dwarf x1
Necromancer x1
Khorne demons x1
Humans x1

Spamming guard and mighty blow seems to be our only hope.
So matchday one, we just buy an ogre or do we need another catcher/lineman?

Lets see your opponents first.
Also, while guard and mb is good, you'll never win a grind vs orcs and dwarves. Better to prepare a passing game to exploit their lower ma. On the bright side, there are no elves and zons in your group, so the non-dwarves will be very unlikely to invest in tackle. Getting blodge could possibly be worthwhile on doubles

Anyone give me a rundown what this video is about? Some bearded guy saying he's happy that the seventh season of f13 bloodbowl is underway?

[EDIT]
Oh, so it was the draw? OK then. Carry on. :salute:

Ouch. And too bad about your cash reserves needing to be dumped...

"If your team played its most recent match in any other f13 league including gimmick leagues, feeder league etc then it will automatically be accepted as long as it meets the following requirements:
  • Max TV of 1400. This includes cash reserves (on a 1k gold to 1 TV basis) and injured players.
  • Minimum of 11 players on the roster (including injured players)"

I'm sure you've seen the video of the tier drawing.
This is where the KoC ended up in:

div4.jpg

Sub 1400 div. With a plethora of veterans. Naturally, nobody gave us a chance.

pred.jpg

Top 4 goes to the next round - so we have to be the 4th best at least to make the play offs.
But before that, let's start with a pre-match controversy - our absurdly high treasury level.
Originally, my plan was to buy an Ogre on day 1 - however, the mods have spotted that possibility and demanded I flush all my cash out. EVERY. SINGLE. GOLD. Since I went over the TV requirement if they include the gold.

This isn't a complete loss, mind you. We still retain our full squad:
kni.jpg

BUT - this is a very big BUT - if someone gets injured or dead, we'll find it very hard to find a replacement with zero cash. Now, I'm not saying we should cut someone out *glances at 90TV taken by a certain thrower* - but think of the reverse - cutting a team member may free up reserve cash for back up in the future. But keeping that veteran may serve us better in the next game, since we can't really use gold once the match starts.

No real match has started and already we're forced to make hard decisions - C&C, baby.
Anyway here's our next opponent:
md1.jpg

I think we lost to them 2-1 in a pre-season match. Lamaros is a veteran who finished in top 8. He predicted his own victory and progress to the playoffs. Obviously, we're going to make that dream stay a figment of his imagination.

Lvl 2 Troll with Claw, AG4 Thrower (Stomp?), Lvl 2 Claw Blitzer.

Remember, we have top TV in the division - it should at least amount to something.
Division make-up:
940 TV Skaven
1230 TV Necro
1280 TV Khorne Demons
1150 TV Underwolrd
1400 TV Orc
960 TV Chaos
900 TV Underworld

This is pretty good draw IMO.
Aside from the veteran coaches and 1400 TV Orcs, there's an absence of Agi 4 teams or Super Bashy teams. Yes, there's Orc and Chaos - but they're not overwhelmingly developed - Chaos lost the first game to new Skaven 3-1 and ended up with a lvl 2 Beastman - we should be able to take a win on Game Day 2.

No super TV teams either. Good chance to progress to next round.
Cautiously optimistic as I ponder the Gold Trim decision.

So was the gold tv part of the rules originally or a bs excuse made up on the spot? Because if its the latter, you should check out the other teams close to the tv limit and throw a tantrum if they didn't dump all their cash. :P
