Changes are made.
I'm just gonna wait for the opponent to come online.
In mean time I played a filler game of Pro Elves vs Necro - eh, it wasn't pretty. A 1-1 draw but I have like 5 casualty and 1 dead. One lineman lost 1 AGI, Blitzer Misses Next Game. Got a 2nd Blitzer to lvl 3 tho, Blodge + Guard.
I can finally afford my first Elf Catcher, heh. What a weird team to run with so little cash.

I'm guessing that Humppaleka took one too many hits for him to be considered an effective assistant coach then? Or did you assure him that he's the first guy you're going to call as soon as the team's budget is in order?

Oh, and speaking of the fragility of Elves, you should see my trials with High Elf teams. I swear that their AV8 is actually a '6 that someone took a marker to, as I just don't get how they're dying and getting injured much more often than my 'Zons do when they hit the ground. Bleedin'' pansies, the lot of 'em I tell ya!

Match day 1 Part 1
Welcome back! After a week long break, we're finally IN THE LIVE SEASON OF F13 BLOODBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP!
We've been waiting for a long time and here we are!

02.jpg

The Knight's first opponent is the Underworld team coached by Lamaros. The Knights have played a pre-season against this team and lost 2-1 due to a late fumble. Can the Knights do better and win this one or will history repeat itself? Let's get the game started!

01.jpg

The Underworld team naturally gaining a high amount of inducement due to the TV difference. Hoping to make up for the impending casualties and knock-outs - they hired a Wandering Apothecary and Bloodweiser Babes.

Today's arena is one dark place.

03.jpg

Sad news however, as the players line up for the pre-match coin toss with the noticeable absence of Humppalekka, the crowd favorite. Due to severe injuries and external economic factors, he is forced to retire from the team. The Jews did it again.

04.jpg

Pre-match jitters aside, both coaches should be quite familiar with each other - but the tourney participants predicts an Underworld victory due to Human coach's inexperience. The Human coach, when asked for comment, declined, preferring to keep being under the radar. It's a big game. And talking big won't serve a new team well. Looks like Lamaros wants the ball, so the Knights will kick off.

05.jpg

Here comes the kick off from Angelo. Seems like they're going short.

06.jpg

07.jpg

Clear weather as the ball takes flight - perfect for blood bowl!

08.jpg

Crowd groans the kick came up too short - and the Underworld gets a free ball.

09.jpg

And they're off! Claws up and Hellraiser down! No injury tho. This is one of the most critical factor of the match. If the Knights can weather this claw attack, they can probably make a fair game.

10.jpg

The Underworld skaven thrower, sporting 4 AG goes left - as another rat goes for a blitz.

11.jpg

Jaedar, the Dodge Maestro, famed for the 2-1 defensive stand-off during the final pre-season survives his first block unscathed.

12.jpg

Meanwhile, the troll pushes LundB back. Turn over as the Knights can now counter the play.

13.jpg

Hellraiser gets up and moves right with Brother None.

14.jpg

It's the crowd favorite, Whitewolf! As he launches into a blitz!

15.jpg

A stun. Niggling injury aside, Whitewolf is a sight to be feared on the field, able to do frenzied blocks augmented with that killer uppercut. A fang that has become so bloody that the coach feared he'd be a target of fouls in every game.

16.jpg

Jaedar finishes the turn with a dodge out. It's the Underworld's turn now...

18.jpg

Hellraiser gets stunned again, and Brother None gets pushed by a blitz!

19.jpg

LundB continues to troll the troll as the Underworld ball carrier moves right. Turn over.

20.jpg

21.jpg

Oh boy, Whitewolf with a reckless blitz !

22.jpg

Could've been punished - but that was clearly an unintended blitz! Pre-season match jitters mayhap?

26.jpg

Knights close in on the Underworld. It's only turn 2, but it felt like nothing much is happening.

27.jpg

Brother None with a dodge.

28.jpg

Jaedar downs the Troll, no injuries. Turnover.

29.jpg

Hellraiser, eating another claw sandwich. Some pushes here and there in turn 3, nothing going as the ball carries zips past the Knights. No fucks given apparently. Turn over.

32.jpg

Whitewolf aims for the Claw Blitzer and takes him down, still no injuries!

33.jpg

It seems the human is content to turn this into a bash game. Ignoring the ball completely, while attempting to pressure the Underworld to score early.

34.jpg

The troll goes down as Jaedar applies pressure on the ball.

35.jpg

Good dodge.

38.jpg

Angelo to dodge out.. fails, but rerolls...

39.jpg

And fucks up his go-for-it.

40.jpg

Jaedar's down.

41.jpg

So is stabby. Turn over as they delay the touchdown.

42.jpg

Fine, the humans ignore it and continue bashing. Xenomorph scoring a stun.

43.jpg

Not even the troll was spared.

44.jpg

Whitewolf smashes, still no injuries.

45.jpg

Final ball pressure applied as the turn ends.

46.jpg

Underworld gets the message and walk in for the touchdown!

47.jpg

Best With the Mess 1 - Knights of Codexia 0!

:smug: Just as planned.

Matchday 1 Part 2

And we're back! Humans nonchalant as they give away the fourth turn touch down, giving them ample time for a counter score. But the question is: will they score? Or is this another one of those gambits with high risk and high return? Let's find out!

01.jpg

Kick off!

02.jpg

Perfect weather for a passing game? Knight's pre-season are littered with passes every.fucking.time. The only game they didn't pass is when they drew / loss to Chaos.

03.jpg

Ball lands very close to Xenomorph. Let the games begin!

04.jpg

Classic Knights breakaway, no fucks given as they flood the opponent's half with receivers.

05.jpg

On both sides!

06.jpg

Whitewolf with a stunning blitz!

07.jpg

Here we go?

08.jpg

Trigger man, Xenomorph, is one of the top 3 MVPs of the Pre-season, unleashing several elf-like passes with human risks. stabby and Azira being his favorite customers. His most famous play involves his own dodge, a go for it, and a medium throw towards a catcher for a touchdown. What are the chances?!

09.jpg

Back to the match as the human coach is doing something extremely crazy. The Line of Scrimmage is COMPLETELY ABANDONING THEIR POSITION!?

10.jpg

11.jpg

No fucks to give as the turn is over.

12.jpg

Underworld's coach reaction is to cage the right field players...

13.jpg

They seem to BELIEVE that is where the ball is headed.

14.jpg

Here comes the blitz from the freed LoS linerat!

15.jpg

Xenomorph is down! The human gambit is in trouble! Turnover as the human coach gets ready for a match-saving play.

16.jpg

Angelo the kicker will clear the ball zone.

17.jpg

Success! Now it's Xeno's turn?

18.jpg

No, eklektyk with a match changing push to free LundB! Is Xeno really thinking about passing to a lineman?!

19.jpg

xeno.jpg
So you *think* you've stopped me...

XenomorphII fires the pass!

19a.jpg

xeno.jpg
WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!
20.jpg

21.jpg

LundB gets it!

23.jpg

azi.jpg
HIGHWAYYY TO THE DANGERZONE!
24.jpg

25.jpg

The arena exploded. The Knights have arrived. 1-1. Game on.

Match Day 1 - Part 3
Game restarts -

01.jpg

02.jpg

Fans are absolutely blown away, they're loving this! Knights sticking to their brand of risky passing play.

03.jpg

There's still enough time for the Underworld to score - so it's still a tense finish to the first half...

04.jpg

With a rat blitzer fucking his block and spending a reroll. Gets a push on the second try.

06.jpg

Looks like they might try the long throw here.

07.jpg

Humans will pick off the receivers.

08.jpg

09.jpg

Turnover as the receivers are neutralized.

10.jpg

A blitzing rat finally injures a Knight! Angelo85 is down!

11.jpg

This looks VERY bad!

ww.jpg
APOTHECARY!

After many seconds of prayers to the Emprah, Angelo rose - no worse for wear.

12.jpg

13.jpg

He can't wait to get back in the game. But the ball is in the danger zone as the rat needs a handoff -

14.jpg

But failed! Turnover!

15.jpg

Gondolin repays the favor. Badly hurting a line rat.

16.jpg

First half is over - 1-1.

17.jpg

There's blood and bowl in the first half, the crowd is getting pumped. Knights will receive in the second half, fielding a full squad after an early scare with Angelo.

18.jpg

A very curious formation...

19.jpg

Kick off!

20.jpg

Crowds egging the Knights on. This is going to be a very interesting half. Scoring early will give enough time for a tying touchdown - but the Knights are not known for caging plays. Will the coach switch style according to play?

21.jpg

The ball lands very far back, making a long pass nearly impossible.

22.jpg

Brother None with a push in the mid-scrum.

23.jpg

Stunning blow from the Whitewolf.

24.jpg

Hellraiser takes down the troll.

25.jpg

It looks like the Knights may do a caging play after all, Gondolin being brought back to the ball zone.

26.jpg

eklektyk with a marking duty.

27.jpg

Xenomorph with a Go-For-It and pick up attempt.

28.jpg

It's good. The Devil's trigger got it again...now what play will he try next.

xeno.jpg
Commence Jaedar's Nightmare Maneuver.
jae.jpg
W-what?
29.jpg

A quick pass to Azira?! The crowd grew confused as the turn ends. It was a risky move with very little strategic gain. The ball is completely safe, yet he risked in on a short pass. Why?

30.jpg

Underworld clawing at Eklektyk's armor, downing him but no injury.

31.jpg

They have the whole mid field surrounded. Turnover.

32.jpg

Knights content to bash the mid scrimmage. Hellraiser with a knockdown on the troll.

33.jpg

LundB with a push against a gobbo.

34.jpg

Jaedar gets a push too.

35.jpg

Whitewolf...

36.jpg

Stuns. Bash play complete - how's the ball going to be played next?

37.jpg

azi.jpg
Are you sure?
xeno.jpg
Yes.
jae.jpg
What the hell do you think you're doing?
xeno.jpg
The masterplan.
38.jpg

:troll:

xeno.jpg
OK, now gimme the ball.
stab.jpg
Wait-wha? Ok.
40.jpg

xeno.jpg
Oops.
41.jpg

What the hell is going on? Hell knows.

43.jpg

Troll going really stupid, as eklektyk gets pushed to the danger zone.

44.jpg

45.jpg

Jaedar is down and Brother None gets stunned. Turnover.

46.jpg

What is the game plan? Hell if we know.

47.jpg

Whitewolf to rescue eklektyk.

48.jpg

Stuns.

49.jpg

eklektyk only manages a push.

50.jpg

LundB scores a stunning blow.

Meanwhile...

51.jpg

azi.jpg
You've got to be kidding.
xeno.jpg
Get ready.
53.jpg

54.jpg

azi.jpg
Now what?
xeno.jpg
Gondolin, Angelo, stabby, move ahead. The time draws near.
55.jpg

The knights 'catching practice team' finally moves out... after three turns in there. Turn over.

01.jpg

Troll having a bad day.

02.jpg

Hellraiser's luck finally ran out as he gets KO'ed out of the match.

03.jpg

eklektyk gets hammered once again.

04.jpg

Jaedar maintains his footing.

05.jpg

So does Whitewolf. Turnover.

06.jpg

Whitewolf to get away from trouble.

07.jpg

Only gets chain pushes.

08.jpg

The 'cage' finally arrive on the mid line - much to Jaedar's relief.

09.jpg

10.jpg

He knocks down a gobbo.

11.jpg

Xeno...

12.jpg

..trolls more. Turn over.

13.jpg

Brother None gets stunned.

14.jpg

Whitewolf survives a down! He's not injured!

15.jpg

Angelo with a good stun.

16.jpg

eklektyk...seems to have been forgotten, he moves to a receiving position.

:troll:

17.jpg

Whitewolf, rising dodge - blitz.

18.jpg

Scores an injury!

19.jpg

W-wait..he's not getting up...apothecary was called and the dead rat is back to life.

20.jpg

A shame.

21.jpg

LundB to dodge out and create an illusion of trying to score.

22.jpg

Meanwhile...

23.jpg

24.jpg

:troll:

Turnover.

25.jpg

Whitewolf stands firm on the blitz challenge. Underworld can't get a favorable push as Xenomorph continues trolling at the back.

26.jpg

Is this gonna be a draw?

27.jpg

Whitewolf with another daring play.

28.jpg

Ouch! A gobbo out for the count! Crowd cheers at the bashing spectacle. No ball play so far...if you count catching practice as one.

29.jpg

This frees stabby...

30.jpg

Lookin' good...

31.jpg

Jaedar knocks out another goblin.

32.jpg

Brother None tries to create a new receiving option...

33.jpg

Hmm. Let's reroll...

34.jpg

Meh.

35.jpg

This does leave an opportunity for a blitz on Azira though, who is actually holding on to the ball.

36.jpg

Right on time.

37.jpg

Safe? Reroll.

38.jpg

Oh boy. We're in the danger zone. But instead of picking up the ball with 2 GFI to have a chance of scoring...he goes for...

39.jpg

...capitulating at Xenomorph's feet. :smug:

40.jpg

Knights in full con-TROLL of the game. As they have a chance of scoring very late.

41.jpg

Whitewolf with a blitz to clear a passing channel...

42.jpg

Gondolin stuns his man.

xeno.jpg
Channel: Cleared. Prepare for Skyfall.
stab.jpg
Acknowledged.
43.jpg

XenomorphII makes his move!

44.jpg

Scoops it!

48.jpg

xeno.jpg
Take *THIS*!
45.jpg

46.jpg

49.jpg

:hmmm:

Match Day 1 - Part 4
01.jpg

Can this day get any crazier? What a turn around! After conceding a 4th turn touchdown, the Knights fought back a quick draw, survived a late counter - and then delayed a touchdown ... up till this point! What will happen next?!

02.jpg

Knights opting for safety for his men - no more apoth. This could be a mistake...

03.jpg

Long kick...

04.jpg

Oh boy, more weather siding with the Knights. There's gonna be hell for a throw now.

05.jpg

06.jpg

Knight's line collapses as the Underworld burst forward.

07.jpg

Knights with a final play to stop the score.

08.jpg

Lots of holes.

09.jpg

10.jpg

Not tight enough. This is bad.

11.jpg

Azira can't get to the thrower!

12.jpg

Turnover!

13.jpg

Whitewolf is down!

14.jpg

So is stabby!

15.jpg

In comes the thrower unopposed!

16.jpg

Makes the throw, it's FREE! IT'S FREE! PANDEMONIUM ON THE KNIGHT'S BENCH AS THEY LET GO OF THE VICTORY RIGHT AT THE DEATH!

:rage:

17.jpg

2-2! WHAT A GAME!

Post match conference for the Knights' Coach.

He also forgot to mention your love of taking cr 4 dodge rolls willy nilly and waiting to position your people until after you have performed a few blocks.

Ninja: At least you got some spp for your catcher and thrower any level ups?

Wow. I see that your opponent has done reasonably well in the previous records, but he strikes me as being more than a little full of himself. Chastising you for risky play and making it sound like he didn't pull the win out of his ass, and all. The win would have been nice, but congrats for tying and proving him wrong.

To be honest he had a chance to hit 2-1 up on the first half.
Risky play...hmmmmmm. We've been doing nothing but that all day long, I guess there will come a time when the dice fuck us over, but so far it's pretty good to us.

To be fair, the odds of those plays succeeding were really low. Pass at -2 hue. Arkay you really should do a handoff and then a pass, 6 more squares and it's a +1 catch roll. MUCH safer than passing those 6 squares.

Hey folks, match is validated and we have enough for an Ogre! Yay! :)

No one leveled up though. :(

Our next opponent is ...

A bunch of non-skilled Chaos.
I foresee roast beef.
