It's okay, you won't have to play any of my games.

Don't you know ? Never read a book by an author who you disagree with politically, or whose wife once said something you find stupid. Also, boycott all movies if one member of the crew once said anything you disagree with.

Each time I watch a movie, I first check everyone on the credit list for their twitters and also their relatives. If I find something that remotely triggers me, then, of course, I do not watch the movie.

This stuff matters a lot to me.

I am a true codexer.

Consumers have the glorious right to not buy a game for any reason.

(It helps that this one didn't have any chance of ever being any good)

Yeah, I'm on the boycott Dead State train now. Giving that stupid situation publicity and making it some political issue is fucking distasteful.

I don't know what's this about but what has it to do with the game?

Can someone explain me what's all this about? I'm only ex-hacker, and I don't have a clue. (especially in social stuff)

So Annie is a dumb libural? Oh my God, what a shock... Guess this makes her part of the 90% of fools on this planet. Just saying people, unfortunately, it is kinda hard avoid fools when they are the majority.

I'm an extreme leftist and I can't abide those who stand in solidarity with abusers.

The abuser in this case is a blatant psychopath who gets random people fired and gloats about it on Twitter, using feminism as a convenient way of gaining the moral high ground at the same time. The veneer of feminism is thin indeed and it takes a real dummy, or an ideologue, to not see through it. Annie is apparently one such dummy. It is one thing to support someone who holds different opinions from your own. It is another to support a moron who repeatedly declares unwavering loyalty to a cruel psychopath, perverting otherwise admirable ideals while she's at it. Plus the game concept is stupid. Turn based combat in a zombie apocalypse, like that's going to go over well. Brian Mitsoda: Oh, what's that, we're restricted to a small number of combatants due to the nature of turn based combat? You mean to say that we cannot have lots of zombies in a zombie apocalypse? You mean that the entire point of the genre, an isolated group of survivors amidst a sea of undead, is impossible to realize because the combat is totally incapable of representing such a scenario? Well golly, I guess that means we're making a piece of crap. Let us pray that the investors don't find out!!

He started the game before zombies became popular in the popamole scene. He can't be blamed for zombie fatigue.

Who the fuck says that zombies have to be in hordes?

Let us pray that the investors don't find out!!

You mean those who donated money? I don't think they have actual investors.

Most game devs are right-wing conservative preppy types, with the ideological grounding of a 10 year old. Which is annoying when the dev is making a game like Civ or EU where the 'Communist' type of option only has the most primitive interpretation of the ideology(it invariably plays as some oppressive polluting dictatorship). The only game which included nuances of ideology was Alpha Centauri where you could could create a 'socialist' style of society that also was free and open. If I only played games by Marxist revolutionaries I'd have a very small selection to choose from. One of the Aterdux guys is the only dev with an explicit Stalinist ideology and their game is struggling.

Eh, when I originally heard of Dead State, I thought slow zombies and hordes, not unlike this:

Most portrayals of non-horde zombies tend to be the sprinter/runner variety, such as the miniseries Dead State, rather than slower zombies.
Aesthetically, it's quite a shame this couldn't be realized through Torque . . . instead we get the "tell, don't show" approach from the game's narrative.

At least zombies are powerful enough to be a threat, even if there are so few.
