I will bring back Shoutbox permanently - but only for those who donated - if this year's current campaign raises it's $6k target.
So technically, a donation of $0.01 qualifies for shoutbox access if the $6000 is reached (which it probably won't)?I will bring back Shoutbox permanently - but only for those who donated - if this year's current campaign raises it's $6k target.

Can you vote? The donors who vote "Yes" are offset by the donors who vote "No", meaning that the "Yes" votes would need to net $6k over the "No" votes in order to succeed?
There's gotta be some paypig whales in the "Yes" camp.![]()
Well I could set a $100 minimum but if it's going to happen, it's more likely someone will donate some stupid amount and everyone else will pile on.So technically, a donation of $0.01 qualifies for shoutbox access if the $6000 is reached (which it probably won't)?I will bring back Shoutbox permanently - but only for those who donated - if this year's current campaign raises it's $6k target.
you approach that from a sane viewpoint, not always realistic on the codexAlso the probability of it happening is low so I'm also not really worried?
I am sure we could arrange something... Do you like yachts? The alternative is I get another $5k in the PayPal account. There's no bad outcome for me under this scenario.
DarkUnderlord please don't pay Crispy any moneyI want half.
You really don't want to get money, do you?I will bring back Shoutbox permanently - but only for those who donated - if this year's current campaign raises it's $6k target.
Put upThis place is boring without out our quality shoutbox discussions
I'm sure at some point, in a desperate bid to raise funds once this plan fails, we will find some way to monetise the shoutbox.
The most vocal opponents of its return were always among the top 20 shoutboxers. Granted a lot of them have ejected since.it's amazing how former eager users of shoutbox, who literally used to live there, suddenly become their worst opponents. The most prominent example is probably Crispy who never seems to tire of neglecting his former burning desire for it.
If shoutbox would be really so unpopular, why was it always bursting with people and conversations, one has to ask
What? Suddenly become whose worst opponents? Their own? Do you even English?it's amazing how former eager users of shoutbox, who literally used to live there, suddenly become their worst opponents.
What does this even mean? I've said clearly several times I don't want Shoutbox back. I think Codex is better off without it. If you're (still) upset about something I said to you in it, get over it.The most prominent example is probably Crispy who never seems to tire of neglecting his former burning desire for it.
