Did Ron said where he is going to work? Man, that teasing of his with that article about Monkey Island is very interesting... his sudden talk about what he would do if he made another Monkey Island... Is very suspicious, sound like testing waters ... a KS, maybe? I really hope my conspirancy theory is right and he has the opportunity to make a proper adventure game.
The Cave is what Ron believes is an adventure now, we're never going to get a classic adventure from these guys, or a new monkey island.
So, a week after the release I managed to watch the latest documentary. I must say, seeing the game some more in action, I'm getting used to the art style. I kinda like it now, and think that it will be OK for this game. Broken Age won't be the best Double Fine game, but it seems Tim and Co take great care with the story and the character. I think it will be an enjoyable point and click adventure.

Unfortunately due to the Internet culture unless it's the Second Coming it will get pissed on, even if it is a good game.

I knew there was something wrong with this game, complete lack of any concept art other than this disgusting two headed logo of theirs was big alarm sign. And all this crap about them screwing up with management and wasting money, yeah. Guess this is the first "big" kickstarter project to fuck up though considering how pretentious the game seems to be there'll be plenty of people defending it.
This article restored my faith completely. The game sounds effin amazing.Update: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/doublefine/double-fine-adventure/posts/474494

Broken Age was originally planned to be completed in April, but according to the documentary the schedule has been extended until September. The costs of a lengthened development have forced Double Fine to search for more money. Double Fine still welcomes supporters that missed the Kickstarter deadline, but in the documentary Isa Stamos, director of product development, affirms that the studio either has to dramatically increase funding or reduce the scope of the game. In Episode 8, Double Fine’s vice president of business development, Justin Bailey, reveals that profits from the release of Brütal Legend for PC will almost entirely feed into Broken Age.
No, 2.2 million was the final budget and they were going to run out of money based on the projected end date. They hadn't yet run out of kickstarter money as of the filming of the documentary episode.Good lord. They burned through THREE MILLION DOLLARS in just over a year?
The question is if they could afford the artist if they raised just the $300k.Everyone's complaints seem to be about art and tone. I don't see how less (or more) money would change those.
