Yeah, now scroll through the Codex forums, because THAT is the Codex, not some stupid twitter.for the Codex to look professional and mature by comparison?

And that is unfortunately standard procedure in the industry, regardless of the developers. And their big projects also had lots of problems with budgets, delays, moving from one publisher to another and so on.
I'm not talking about us. I'm talking about the asshole who said, that he has no place in the gaming industry. PERIOD.Well, it is his lack of ''business skill' that we criticize, so maybe he should just step away from that.
Ok, so why should Tim get out of the gaming industry? He might lack business skills but as you said, he has other talents a developer needs.. I appreciate Schafer just like most of us appreciate Avellone, for the writing (certainly not for the Arcanum LP )

And saying that the Codex is more mature (ROLF) and professional (XD) because we don't troll others in twitter makes so much sense.Yeah, now scroll through the Codex forums, because THAT is the Codex, not some stupid twitter.for the Codex to look professional and mature by comparison?
Why would I compare Codex forum to Schafer's twitter activity, that makes no sense.
Would you quote me on that please? Because I just said that the Codex is not more mature just because we don't troll on twitter.ITT we learn that J_C thinks the behavior of anonymous forum posters should be held to the same standard as a CEO who's in charge of millions of his fans money.
I'm almost certain that if this trolling wasn't about the Broken Age kickstarter, but a random idiot who for example would be shitting on DotT, Tim Schafer would be a hero trolling the guy. It's not appropriate for Tim Schafer to "troll" fans (or potential fans) on his twitter. End of story.

Andhaira isn't a part of the Codex? News to me.That's actually one of the good things about the Codex, unlike a lot of edgy communities out there, we don't go out and harass people we dislike. Only way you get trolled by the Codex, is by registering here and posting dumb shit. This, I feel, is very fair.
Furthermore, if anyone started tweeting stupid crap at the Codex official twitter account, the worst they could get is a snarky response. Certainly not Schafer's dumb "OLOLO YOU BASEMENT DWELLER" (seriously, this guy is supposed to be extraordinarily witty?). I'm sure Crooked Bee can back me up on this.
"Tim Schafer. The guy comes out and says I'm a prick. I've never met him in my life - I've never had anything to do with him," Kotick tells Edge.
"I never had any involvement in the Vivendi project that they were doing, Brütal Legend, other than I was in one meeting where the guys looked at it and said, 'He's late, he's missed every milestone, he's overspent the budget and it doesn't seem like a good game. We're going to cancel it."
"And do you know what? That seemed like a sensible thing to do. And it turns out, he was late, he missed every milestone, the game was not a particularly good game..."
Just a feeling, knowing the Codex's behaviour. And lets not forget that Tim was called a hero when he called Bobby Kotick a prick, and he was even bashed a little for apologising later. Yet now people pick Kotick's side.I'm almost certain that if this trolling wasn't about the Broken Age kickstarter, but a random idiot who for example would be shitting on DotT, Tim Schafer would be a hero trolling the guy. It's not appropriate for Tim Schafer to "troll" fans (or potential fans) on his twitter. And why is that?

See this is what I hate people. We arrived at a point when people say that all of his games, his whole company and his persona is a huge scam, and he was a big bullshitter all the time. This is fucking ridiculous. He can be called out on the stuff about Broken Age, but bringing this to the next level and generally say that every step of his is like Broken Age is an idiotic thing to do.
If Brutal Legend would have been such a management hell, EA, the other idiotic publisher which cancels games as a hobby wouldn't have picked it up and marketed it to hell and back. And the fact that the company is still doing OK, and is in the business for 13 years just shows that they are managing the projects allright.See this is what I hate people. Judging by what is happening now and what happened during Brutal Legend development we can easily extrapolate that all his projects were in complete management hell from start to finish. There is absolutely nothing that indicates otherwise.
They certainly aren't managing this one alright, which begs the question, if all their other projects were a production walk in the park, what has changed so drastically to bring on their current misfortunes. It would appear that Schaefer needs a producers' boot up his ass to actually work.If Brutal Legend would have been such a management hell, EA, the other idiotic publisher which cancels games as a hobby wouldn't have picked it up and marketed it to hell and back. Yes, this is possible. And again, I'm not doubting that there was a massive mismanagement in this project. It would appear that Schaefer needs a producers' boot up his ass to actually work.

We did that too. IIRC the Andhaira account over at the BSN had a widely distributed password.Dicksmoker is. Also, that was not only a rare occurence that prompted some changes to the forum rules, but also Andhaira's solo initiative. Compare to /v/'s campaign against Hepler, for example, or their trolling of BSN after ME3. Not even going to get into the retarded crap reddit pulls on a regular basis. Honestly, we're very, very tame by comparison.
