The disturbing parts in this game are definitely not related to gender or sex. The snuff film industry and the organ/cyberware harvesting industry are where it's at.

It's all disturbing. Garbage everywhere. Hideous ad-strewn GlobalHomo Corpo concrete and barbed wire jungle surrounded by Wall-E trash heap wasteland. Absolutely permeated by pornography and sexual deviancy. Violent with a capital V. Gangs rampant and law enforcement is equally incompetent and use overwhelming lethal force at will. Somehow, there are children around, but most walk around with VR visors. They eat processed worms.

Peak cyberpunk setting.

I think Russian is also good though I haven't tried it.
Think again look at the comments and like to dislike ratio on russian trailer from what I comprehend russians are angry that there is much more cursing than in the english script. Codexian vatniks can confirm if this is true or not.

They are angry with certain casting choices for characters in the video. Namely, some insufferable youth pop stars, basically local lil' peeps.

I dunno, the characters themselves appear insufferable, so they fit like a glove.

Naah, her bone structure has nothing groid about it whatsoever, it's pure European. Race is about more than skin colour. If anything, that look is more a mixture of Arabic and European from way back, from the time of the conquest of Iberia by Arabs. A fair number of Spanish have that complexion from that bit of race mixing back then. Hispanics proper (or Latinos is it? I can never remember what's what here) seem to be a mixture of that and of blondes (from the Visigoth ruling class of Iberia as was).

Race-mixed Hispanics tend to have that retarded look that's a combination of Amerindian, European and Negro.

Or maybe I'm just White Knighting for my virtual thot :)

Panam sounds like a bindi name. Brahmin even.

Is there a high class district or gated community somewhere? So far except for certain story missions the city looks equally run down everywhere, when it should be more like Brazil.

Back then we only dreamed about reaching this level of fidelity.

No. I dreamed about X-Com with cyborgs, before X-Com Apoc was realeased. Dreamed about more weapons, better powerarmor, more flying craft you could produce, missions on Mars, etc.
Who need fidelity when you have imagination? All you need is a few sets of cool art, for starter.

Combat definitely looks pretty decent here, especially shooting through the wall stuff. The AI isn't great, I'm not sure how they didn't notice all the shooting.

It's running around a pretty low level area with a character who can one shot the NPCs entire combined hp pool. When I did that quest area, I didn't have the double jump legs let alone the projectile mod for arms nor a cyberdeck which was able to do more than one thing at a time. Would be genuinely nterested to see same person try it onlevel to see how smooth it looks when they turn round and shoot back.

The AI is such a mixed bag, and I don't know if it's because it's stupidly designed or just unfinished and buggy. Half the time the mobs behave properly (they get activated and pissed, seek cover, actively hunt you, try to flank, use netrunner stuff against you), half the time they just stand around like lemons even if their mates are being killed two feet away from them.

But the combat can be really quite enjoyable a times, so the potential is there for it to be good all the time.

There are several. Charter Hill is for the corpos and looks like it, the actual Downtown is clean and with beautiful house entrances, there are the huge villas in North Oak (the road up there is secured by private companies, and the grounds patrolled by robots). Last not least, the whole Arasaka town is walled and inaccessible.

Anyone who started playing games in 90s will appreciate what this game is doing. Back then we only dreamed about reaching this level of fidelity. I really wish CDPR would do remaster of Planescape T with their graphics.

This is not even major character mind you. Just receptionist at Clouds brothel you converse with for like 3-4 minutes and doesn't have anything to in rest of the game.

This, and also the fact that those characters they used for voiceover are popular among zoomers mostly.
This bitch on the left famous for interview where she stated that 15 sm dick is very small dick, she need more or something like that.
The rest are some RAP musicians of questionable quality, also for zoomers.
The only I think, who is famous not only for zoomers is the last on thumbnail, some comic.
And their work - didn't hear it luckily - called amateurish, and yeah, lots of bad language.

Don't you think this is a terribly simplistic and underdeveloped characterisation? "My name is X and I sit in my office all day, acting as a dispatcher of jobs for mercs." No mention of personal motivation or agenda, no goals. I know Regina wants to uncover some conspiracy connected to cyberpsychosis, but are there bigger things that other fixers are after? And even if yes, if every fixer exists in a vacuum, this is more of an immersion breaker than a contributing factor for a developed character.

The voice acting plays a huge part in how believeable the characters will be and how "well-written" the game will appear. I haven't tried the Polish version, but I know the English makes the characters sound like generic crap, compared to the French. I've only played French audio with English subtitles. I think Russian is also good though I haven't tried it.

Yeah each of fixer has a theme and you can meet them if you want. Dina from badlands for example in one of endings helps you.

Ah yes, good point, I'd forgotten - she could be of Indian heritage too.

But I think Panam is probably a reference to the airline. Like a cute thing a Nomad mother would call her child, remembering the old days of freedom before the wars and linking it in her mind to the freedom to be able to fly anywhere. That's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it :)

I guess the success of Fallout means that millions are dreaming of living in an irradiated desert, pissing neon green, eating whatever bug they can catch and getting torn apart by huge ugly mutants? A-ok.

Fallout is a game about 1 sm figures moving with their legs and arms on the screen.
And yes, after release of Fallout post-apocaliptic genre become incredibly popular.
People wrote books, funfics about it. They dreamed about it.
Even though there were no fancy graffixxx about it.

Could also be a reference to the Porsche Panamera since CDPR did collaborate with Porsche and advertised one of their cars in-game (a.i. Johnny Silverhand's Porsche 911).

Is she in the PnP? If so Mr Pondsmith (such a wonderful name! :) ) would probably have the definitive answer.

That's is simply half truth. I was curious if I can find fixers in a game world, after I discovered how retarded quest giving mechanic in this game is. I found some of them standing in places where they should according to the map, some are nowhere to be found. Only interaction with them is couple of lines like "so, what's the weather?" You can't speak about what's going on or about gigs with none of them. They are as interactive and not aware as any other no-name NPC.
