Are they ACTUALLY developing DLC expansions for this game? I haven't heard a single thing about it.

We really don't know. We can't stop them if they decide to cut losses, give the console fucks their shiny patch, then declare mission accomplished and move on. They say they want to put DLC out there, but now I'm seeing something in the vein of one paid expansion...probably trying to recoup some cash.

Is it true that the updates this game has received since launch silently remove nudity and censor the game in other ways?

Your character is wearing underwear (but not bra) in normal game. You can only see him/her fully nude in inventory screen. Also side-characters were missing underwear (Evelyn Parker or Hanako Arasaka for example). I wouldn't say they have censored stuff. More like fixed missing clothes which also affected player character somehow.

The game still has ads with full nudity, same for sex scenes.
I personally also remember NPCs often missing underwear and stuff which were added in a patch. There's even a mod that attempts to remove them again, though I agree that this is probably mostly a fix rather than censorship. I also saw a video where the dancer in the room where you meet evelyn parker first was removed, but that could be due to a bug.
It's always hard to say in this game what is a bug or and intentional change, but they seem to sneakily tone it down.
The "censorship" in this game is a weird one tho. To me it seems as if they tried to make censorship easy to implement so they can sell it even in countries where nudity is a problem, notable during scenes in the main quests everyone will experience.
But like everything else, they are not following a clear line. V always showers with panties on, so nobody has to accidently see it, but during Johnny's sex scene with Alt, while she never takes her bra off (even pours the tequilla on it :hahano: ) as if it was censorship, she wears NO panties. While sitting with her legs spread, giving you full view of her modelled lady parts, with an added bonus of horrible flickering texture borders. Wut.
Then we have Lizzies bar, a weird clusterfuck rivalling FO4's Institute, as if they couldn't make up their minds what it IS supposed to be. Apparently you can only watch BDs there, no touching the girls. But the Mox are supposed to be working girls, as a random scene has a new Mox defending her career choice to her dad that she rather chokes on cocks than industrial dirt. There are about 20 Mox girls in the bar during day resting, telling you "I am off the clock baby". What DO they do? Judy even says the compiles BDs the girls scroll there, having to filter out the customers thoughts and all that.
When I visited it in 1.31, Judy's sideroom now has just a couch and table, but I am pretty sure that it was a bedroom in earlier version, because I remember thinking Judy was scrolling porn down there. Even in Clouds you can only "witness" some fetish play. Nice and tame.
As if they tried to tone it down for a lower rating later, similar to Bethesda when they made FO4 a Disney game compared to FO3.
Evelyn is another weird conundrum. When we meet her she is a charismatic good looking high class escort, a mysterious dame from a film noir. But not doll material. Dolls are braindead airheads that need to be remote controlled to be useful, the game makes sure to show you that before/after effect twice. No skill or personality required....
The whole Clouds thing feels like a rewritten story as well. Evelyn's voice actress has no further lines after the scenes heavily featured in trailers and demos (and the voodoo bois BD). They could have made her the mayor's daughter as well and it would have fit. :hahano:

And those 2 (+2) useable joytoys they tacked on... a joke. A bone. "Look how oversexed our game is!" And easy to disable. Remove those, cut Meredith's easter egg, fade to black during sidequests... "See, no prostitution or even sex in our game at all!"
Wooosh, instant PEGI13, welcome to Walmart. :hahano:

I wonder how that next gen version will look like...

Funfact: V's panties during shower are an invisible equipped clothing item in her inventory. If you switch censorship on, she gains a second pair she wears on top of it. :hahano:

Likewise she carries an invisible cutscene pistol, that she whips out when needed. More hillariously, you actually automatically wield it if the Maelstromers turn hostile through the cutscene during "The Pickup". Normally you wouldn't notice it, since players are meant to rush through those quests before getting other weapons. But if you cleared Watson first, you might wonder why your pistol does barely any dmg... until you realize it's a lvl1 gun, trying to take on lvl scaled enemies. :hahano:

Bonus points if you are playing on higher difficulty while having a similar gun in your inventory, so you DON'T realize it. Until you die. :argh:

Yeah, it's pretty evident that the new neo-puritanism going through Western culture had an effect on them. It's ironic because in the game's setting sex is supposed to be super common place & as boring as walking down the street to us, but it's all filtered through the actual, left-wing puritanism of our current culture. So those things are there, but they're afraid to touch on them much, and it's left almost entirely as window dressing. There's ads... and... that's about it.

It's like Muslims making a game about cooking bacon.

Funfact 2: the game does actually have "unlimited" level scaling outside missions it seems.
While trying to check if gorilla arms still have the door open animation, I fast traveled to a former gig in Watson, forgetting I had set my level to 40 for testing reasons.
After leaping very enthusiastically over a fence I couldn't help but notice Maelstrom having fully respawned. So I thought: "Have fun eating Gor- Goli-... shocking monkey fists suckers!"
That quickly turned into a weak yelp for halp while I was desperately spamming X to not die. Even though I had stacked Armadillo to (my former) lvl 20 max, they tore through me like my Katana went through Flacide. Like, totally ouch, duh!

I guess you gotta entertain players somehow after they beat the game at least 7 time when you have no multiplayer. :hahano:

And on a sidenote: boxing matches are still unplayable, even with Gorilla arms, blocking still does not negate enemy dmg.
Thankfully ye olde exploit feature still works: drop a baseball bat and equip-pickup it during the fight. Melee weapons DO block the dmg properly. :hahano:

Unless "good authority" is the new political correct way of saying "Kriticool Kodex Konsensus", I am not sold. :obviously:

My interest is kinda sorta piqued tho, since I remember playing the original version of those games, good to see combat still happens in that turnbased chessboard fashion. And they will always have a speshul place in my memory for... enemies dropping EVERYTHING they had equipped, massive incline over the usual random crap.

BTW, I actually DO like this game. Because I don't play it, I treat it as an alpha/beta version full of hillarious bugs I can get some 15 mins of funsies out of. Too bad I don't get paid for it.

Today's edition: Tranquilizer darts for the launcher fist. Obviously the result of overpaid management barging in and yelling "EVERY weapon needs to be non-lethal, even missiles, because violence is wrong! Now get to work you filthy slaves!"

I wonder how that will work in regards to high level enemies your normal weapons wouldn't even scratch.... right? Thankfully some conveniently placed 20 level higher 'tinos volunteered for this experiment. Aiming and..
BOOM! YUGE EXPLOSHUN!
Uhhh... oops? Nah, don't worry, that exploshun is apparently only visable/audible by V, the guy beside my target does not react to a small nuke going off beside him, or his comrade just falling unconcious in his field of view. Many loud explosions later I knocked out the entire gig area with no alarms.... and probably leveled up 3 times from all those sweet xp.
So yes, one can run around peacefully oneshotting even lvl40+ enemies while still being lvl1. Feels very thought through and balanced. Also very child friendly, no violence involved at all.
:balance:
Seriously CDPR? Coding the effect to the launcher instead of the projectile is one thing, but not bothering to suppress it for a tranqulizer dart is even below a sloppy 5 min mod. I hope you at least had the forsight to block that thing from working on bosses... but I am actually afraid to test it. :hahano:

Cyberbug77 is still providing a lot of quick fun... just not in the way they wanted it to.

That goes to everyone. You can have fun with Cyberpunk, Skyrim or Dragon Age, but don't try to convince everyone they are objectively good. Some games have potential which can be salvaged with mods or enough weed. Fo4 is a good example, very similar to cyberpunk, it has some good qualities but then huge list of issues, bugs, cutting corners and whatnot.

I had my own fun wth the Cyberpunk, it's autistic Far Cry clone with Watch Dogs hacking. I liked Far Cry 3, did like Watch Dogs 2. But this game was promised to be more than that and they actually had the budget and could hire people who wanted to have CP2077 in their portfolio. Also it does scream wasted potential. You have a city with sports cars, guns yet there are no pursuits? The racing is janky? Same for the story, it has urgency in open world non-linear game (I mean you can dick around the map, the quests are linear). What these guys were doing for 8 years? Some stuff should be cancelled on pre-production, yet here we have useless ricochet mechanic when you can just walk up and blast NPCs point blank.
