Chris Avellone lost a bet and now owes us a 2015 RELEASE troll + a bottle of beverage

Codex 2013 Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire MCA Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
So, back in May 2014 I made a bet with MCA via email. I was pretty sure PoE wouldn't come out in 2014 and would be delayed to 2015. MCA was pretty confident as to the contrary.

The terms were,

myself in an email to MCA said:
If the game releases in 2014, we draw a troll for you + send you a bottle of (something, whatever it is you prefer). If not, you draw a special 2015 RELEASE troll for us + send us some kind of beverage.

That was also the True Reason (tm) why I made that thread in GRPGD.

Now that the delay has been officially announced, it means that we have won.

Dunno what kind of beverage we'll ask him for yet. We're open to suggestions.

(It is a bit of a pity we don't get to draw a troll for MCA for a change though.)

Betting on RPG moving it's release date?
You should do it with every developer, just try not to drown in booze when mailmen will start moving crates into your house.

Settle for no less than for an ABSINTHE.

Crooked Bee bet the bottle, so it should get the bottle. The rest of codex would get only the troll. (With exception of these who would physically be able to visit. I think he should send two bottles, the other for DarkUnderlord. How is Austria anti-absinthe law? He didn't have police visit lately.)

Maybe it is a psychological thing, that developers need to trick themselves and work as a game going to be completed in time, so they could release it several months later after solving all these unexpected problems and slowdowns that arise during development. And if they would work from the start expecting that game would be postponed, then it wouldn't be ready even by that time...
I don't see any other reasons, why developers with experience of multiple project would expect that this case would be somehow different than all previous ones.

God no~ Approriate booze of choice would be moonshine. Corn moonshine aged in oak barrel. Close your eyes and pretend it's from mutated corns, from a still in gecko-infested wood...

I love to play Fallout 2 again, but it's water under tooooooooo many bridges.

Ask him to descend from the heavens in a chariot of gold and give you a pint of his urine. It will grant you a powerful blessing.

Ask him for one of these beverages :

Although the codex really craves only for this one :

But in the off chance he is not welcome in Vrischika's shop, I think "Arcanum" is definitely the best choice.
