What is you opinion of chapter one of Baldur's Gate 3 in early access?

Please take into mind that the game is a work in progress, so don't be finicky about bugs and what not, which will be fixed. Not to mention that there will obviously also be gameplay improvements. Just rate the game on its content and gameplay in general resp. how much fun you had.

After playing it for a couple hours I must say, it’s a pretty great game! The icons of the spells and abilities or whatever are fine to look at and the cinematics are pretty neat. I like that the camera follows your character almost all the time and it’s cool you can talk to your party and sometimes they approve and disapprove of you. Wasn’t sure which poll option to choose but when I finish writing my review for IGN I’ll probably give it an 8.9 out of 10.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Has the potential to be better than BG 2 and will definitly not surpass BG 1. Since everyone with a sense of taste knows BG1 is better than BG2.
It is better than Throne of Bhaal, but many games are.

The poll needs a "I haven't played it but I'm sure it's shit" option to give representation to a certain demographic.

Well this is me if only because everything I've seen of it (graphics, design decisions, 5E) makes it look like shit designed for a PS5. Am I wrong?

OS1 was a fun little game with some novelties. The novelties were wearing thin with OS2. Now in BG3 they are trying to make you take it seriously, I just can't. It's like playing with a fisher price toy but they've painted it up with finely intricate detail, yet doesn't change the fact it's a big stupid toy where you hit buttons where it makes MOO sounds.

Voted for irredeemable because nothing will change the fundamental flaw that it's a boring themepark RPG. No amount of polish or movie-like cinematics or sex cutscenes will change my mind about it. They didn't even try.

Completely irredeemable, and the one thing everyone tried to use to defend it (at least it's accurate to dnd) isn't even true.

Most of their changes fix things like the ranger, that folks were unhappy with. It's a great hybrid between DOS2 and D&D 5e. And it's still EA so various things will improve.

You're from Larian, ain't ya?
Nah. I think BG3 is a dull DOS2 rehash with cringeworthy dialogue. I was just curious what others think.

It has elements in common with DOS2, like surfaces, but it's FAR from a DOS2 rehash. It's hugely different experience is many areas. The underlying system in BG3 is much better for one thing, better stealth system, better setting, better elves, better graphics, better characters, ect..., and it is still in EA, so I expect it will get so much better!
