Dudes, you're opening up the same discussion that we already had in the thread where all the blobbers were collected:
https://rpgcodex.net/forums/index.p...ern-non-anime-blobbers-both-rt-and-tb.129048/

Short answer: We decided to list only pure blobbers that have both exploration and combat in blobber mode.

For the blobbers with tactical (non-blobber) combat we created a new category in that thread called "Tactical Combat Blobbers":

Besides, Wasteland has tactical combat via the party splitting mechanic. :M
So what you are saying is Wizardry 8's more complex party formations exclude it from this poll because party members are individually placed on the field of battle?

that are custom character pics. the base game has a very neutral art style.
So, such meager things as custom portraits disqualify a game from a gener?
Thats even more stupid than thinking that soulslikes is like a seperate genre because saving the game respawns monsters...
Please remember than decline in thoughts and judgments leads to decline in GAMES.
And that is pretty intellectually declined judgement...
Lady Error needs some good alcohol-powered talking to do about this whole situation.

the arstyle doesn't disqualify anime blobbers from being blobbers. it just disqualifies them from being an option in a non-anime blobber poll.

Perihelion is single character, not a blobber. Gold box series doesn't have blobber combat.

Well...1 and 3 are not pure blobbers (Wiz 8 does not have step based movement, right?), World of Xeen is the most dumbed down of the M&M games, and Wiz 7 was not as enjoyable as Wiz 6 even though it had some innovations and improvements.
But at least this poll was not won by an interactive novel!

Step movement is not a requirement for blobbers. And Wiz 7 is more enjoyable than Wiz 6 in my book, though both are excellent games.
