They just updated the kickstarter page for the $2500 tier. Instead of a prestigious exploded blood sausage, you get to write the backstory of a unique item that will be found somewhere i the game.

If we can manage $7500, I humbly suggest we make both a statue donation and shoot for this. Finding a book in W2 called "The RPG Codex", with an item description saying it seems to be a bunch of nonsense written by a bunch of angry old men would be quite fitting I think.

Furthermore - not sure if this has already been suggested - I think it would be a good idea to donate all the jewgold this drive collects to W2 to avoid butthurt amongst our donators. I know our servers could do with some love, but I'm thinking auctioning off the physical goodies when they arrive could probably bring in more jewgoldz to the KKKodex than any cut you could reasonably take from the donation drive.

Yeah, I was thinking we could do an artifact. There's already a separate thread for suggestions, even: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...-artifact-in-wasteland-2-brainstorming.70327/

In short, everybody suggest whatever you want, both for the artifact and for the statue/shrine. Then, in a couple of weeks, Shannow (I assume, or maybe someone else) will create a huge poll, and we'll see what comes of out it. Peter's troll statue will remain the basis, of course, but variations are possible, depending among other things on what Brian offers us.

Pretty sure it's included in the $5,000+

It probably is, yeah. We'll clear everything up with Fargo when the time comes anyway.

I'm pretty sure it isn't.

From Fargo's twitter:
You are correct that the 2.5k reward tier is a stand alone.

Your teh wrong, leran tor ead, as Volly would say. It is a standalone in the sense that it doesn't include the $1000 reward (the question to which Fargo was replying was "So does the new 2.5k still get the previous ones as well?"), but the $5000 reward clearly DOES include the previous one. It even says "Previous reward +..." :)

I agree 100%.

The $5000 might say "previous award" but that was also from when it used to simply be a blood sausage collectible thing. It's very hard to understand the wording now, but I think that the $2500 is standalone completely. I don't believe they can edit the wording of tiers that have already been claimed.

Either that or 1/2 of the game is going to be shitty inside jokes. Fuck, at this point they already have to include 100+ customized items, locations or weapons. I can't wait to play Wasteland: Inside Joke Edition.

Why do you assume they will be shitty? You probably won't even notice them. At least I hope so, and like I already said, I believe the devs have enough skill and competence to be professional and subtle about this.

EDIT. As for $2500 being a *complete* standalone, well, maybe. But we've collected almost $7500 already. :P

Sure, we will. No need to hurry at the moment, though.

Ol' Jimmy's shotgun. Worn through use but still reliable.

That's it. They don't need to add neon-signs to advertise that this gun is in-game because of Jimmy McPledger who gave them $250 or whatever.

I guess I'll have to hope that the devs don't try to fellate the people that donated and have very obvious shout-outs to donators. I sure as fuck don't want to see Notch as an NPC.

The revamped 2,500 tier is included because the maths for the # of items includes the higher tiers.

True, but on the other hand, any variation on "top notch" can make it in so that no one will notice. :)

I agree with GarfunkeL, it could be just Broken Pickaxe. A badly damaged pickaxe. Someone wrote "Fuck you Notch" on the handle.

I completely agree. There should be another campaign for the servers and I bet most of us will probably participate. Anyway, the face of codex just changed... for the better.

Some Razer guy also contributed $10,000. I can almost imagine Razer releasing 'special edition Wasteland 2 mouse and keyboard' in the future, product tie ins seem to be all they seem to do nowadays aside from proof of concept peripherals with little practical purpose.

Yeah they completely removed the blood sausage and tacked that in with the 10k ending

Wish they would do a WL2 t-shirt at the 100$ level

CEO of CDProjekt should donate too. What was his scene name again, SS Captain or something?
He should donate because he fucking built his fucking company on selling Interplay games (Baldur's Gate was one of the biggest bestsellers in Poland)... which he sells to this day through GOG. He owes Fargo at least this much.
