Those Mimimi Games were all cookie cutter versions of Commandos. Not bad, but they lacked the edge. I'm certain it will be no different with Commandos Origins.

Ah, the nebulous "edge". Meaning, "I won't be 12 when this game comes out, so it will be bad."

Well, if it won't keep me up until at least 12, it will be a bad Commandos game.

It's hard to fuck up a game like this anyway. Having to stealth around is inherently tense and will keep you on your toes. They just have to come up with cool scenarios and maps.

I just found out about this. I really enjoyed The Commandos games. This game will have its work cut out for it following Shadow Tactics. That game took some serious lessons learned from Commandos and was excellent for it. They would do well to return the favor.

Demo was ok - I liked the option for historically accurate symbols (ie Swastikas are in).

Colt seemed bugged as when I tried to use it my commando instead started moving towards the enemy even when the target was red.

Also the dialog volume seemed way too low even when turned up to 100%. Hope they fix these issues in the final version.

Graphics were fine and very reminiscent of the original games. There doesn't seem to be an option to only knock out enemies and tie them up, but that's fine to me in a game with a WW2 setting. Also you can't loot weapons from enemies like the original games.

I'd guess the designers played a bit of Shadow Tactics/Desperados 3 as the gameplay seems closer to that than C2/3.
