Anyone else playing this? So far, I've completed the first tutorial and Sarantaporon - Daylight. I haven't advanced further because I've been replaying Sarantaporon over and over to try and find out how to use my units to influence the battle in my favor. As a benchmark, on the first try all I did was order the senior HQ commander to directly attack the objective every time a new reinforcement showed up. So far, that was the only Decisive Victory I managed. so I guess I'm still much worse than the tactical AI. Anyone has any tips or something?

Didn't really pay much attention to it, but a lot of people 'round here seem to think highly of it. Shame there's no demo of it to try out, as I'm a bit hasty shelling out 50 bucks at this point in time.

Real time with pause? Hell, now I'm just curious to get it just to see how that works. I'll see what I can do, though 50 bucks is still kind of a lot for me right now.

Astro: Here's a thread that may help you a little. Also, make sure you read the "MarkShot's Top Tips" pdf in the Documentaion folder that installs with COTA.

NL: here's the demo of the first Airborne Assault game. It's not the same as COTA obviously, but it'll give you an idea of the gameplay at least.
